µµ Selecting a dif f erent f older with the TUNE bar also deactivates this f unction. The SCAN f unction samples all tracks on the disc in the order they are recorded on the disc (all f iles in MP3 or WMA mode). To activate the scan feature, press and release the SCAN button. You will see SCAN in the side display. You will get a 10 second sampling of each track/f ile on the disc. Press the SCAN button again to get out of scan mode and play the last track sampled. Pressing either side of the SEEK/ SKIP bar also turns of f the scan feature.You can also select the scan feature on the audio display. Press the AUDIO button to view the audio display, then push down the selector on the interf ace dial. Push the selector to the right to select the scan feature. You will see TRACK SCAN blinking on the display. To turn off this feature, push the selector to the right again.This feature, when activated, samples the first file of each f older f or 10 seconds. To scan a f older, press the SCAN button repeatedly. You will see F-SCAN and the f older number blinking on the side display. To listen to the rest of the folder, press and hold the SCAN button until you hear a beep. If you do not, the system advances to the next f older, plays 10 seconds of it, and continues with the remaining f olders inthesameway.Whenthesystem has f inished sampling the f irst f ile of all f olders, f older scan is cancelled, and the last f ile played continues to play. An optional six disc changer is available f or your vehicle. This disc changer uses the same controls used f or the in-dash disc player or the radio. You cannot select the controls on the audio display of the navigation system. The audio setting will be displayed only in the side display. The text data cannot be displayed in thesidedisplay,soyoucanseethe disc and track/f ile numbers only. Load the desired discs in the magazine, and load the magazine in the changer according to the instructions that came with the unit. If you turn the system of f while a disc is playing, either with the power/volume knob or by turning of f the ignition switch, the disc will stay in the drive. When you turn the system back on, the disc will begin playing where it lef t of f . To play the radio when a disc is playing, press the AM/FM button. Press the CD button again to switch back to the disc player. Press the eject button ( ) to remove the disc. If you eject the disc, but do not remove it f rom the slot, the system will automatically reload the disc af ter 10 seconds and put it in pause mode. To begin playing, press the CD button. You can also eject the disc when the ignition switch is of f . To play the tape when a disc is playing, insert a tape in the player (optional). If a tape is in the player, press the AUX button. Press the CD button again to switch back to the disc player. Î Î The audio system reads and plays playable sound f iles on the iPod. The system cannot operate an iPod as a mass storage device. The system will only play songs stored on the iPod with iTunes.iPods compatible with your audio system using the USB adapter cable are: iPod and iTunes are registered trademarks owned by Apple Inc. This audio system can operate the audio f iles on the iPod with the same controls used f or the disc player. To play an iPod, connect it to the USB adapter cable equipped with your vehicle by using your dock connector, then press the CD/AUX button. The ignition switch must be in the ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position. The iPod can also be recharged with the ignition switch in these positions. You can select the AUX mode by using the navigation system voice control buttons, but cannot operate theplaymodefunctions. Î Î When the iPod is connected and the iPod mode is selected on the audio system, ‘‘iPod’’ is shown in the side display. If you selected the audio displaybypressingtheAUDIO button, you will see the iPod and USB icons on the screen. Af ter loading, you will see the Honda mark on the iPod. That means the operation is allowed only with the vehicle’s audio unit controls.Thedisplaymaybechanged depending on models or f irmware versions.If the iPod indicator does not appear in the audio display, check the connections, and try to reconnect the iPod a f ew times. If the system still does not recognize the iPod, it may need resetting. Disconnect the iPod and reset it f ollowing the iPod’s instructions. Each time you press and releasethe sideof theSKIPbar, the system skips forward to the beginning of the next f ile. Press and releasethe sideof thebar,to skip backward to the beginning of the current f ile. Press it again to skip to the beginning of the previous file. To move rapidly within a f ile, press andholdeitherside( or ) of the SKIP bar. You can disconnect the iPod at any time when the display on the iPod allows to disconnect it. Always conf irm the notice on the iPod when to disconnect it and make sure to f ollow the maker’s instructions to disconnect the dock connector f rom the USB adapter cable. When you disconnect the iPod while it is playing, the side display and the audio display show NO DATA. You can also change files with the interf ace dial. Press the AUDIO button to show the audio display on the navigation screen. Push the selector on the interface dial to the rightsidetoskipforwardandtothe lef t side to skip backward.
