Πμ Each time you press the TITLE button the display mode switches between the album name, the song name, the artist name, or name of f (which turns off the text display). When the iPod is connected and the iPod mode is selected on the audio display, ‘‘iPod’’ is shown in the display. Af ter loading, you will see Honda mark on the iPod. That means the operation is allowed only with the vehicle’s audio unit controls. Thedisplaymaybechanged depending on models or f irmware versions.If ‘‘iPod’’ does not appear in the audio display, check the connections, and try to reconnect the iPod a f ew times. If the system still does not recognize the iPod, it may need resetting. Disconnect the iPod and reset it f ollowing the iPod’s instructions. You can disconnect the iPod at any time when the display on the iPod allows to disconnect it. Always conf irm the notice on the iPod when to disconnect it and make sure to f ollow the maker’s instructions to disconnect the dock connector f rom the USB adapter cable.The display shows up to 11 characters of the selected data. If the text data has more than 11 characters, you will see the f irst 10 characters and the indicator in the display. Each time you press and releasethe sideof theSKIPbar, the system skips forward to the beginning of the next f ile. Press and releasethe sideof thebar,to skip backward to the beginning of the current f ile. Press it again to skip to the beginning of the previous file. To move rapidly within a f ile, press andholdeitherside( or ) of the SKIP bar.Af ter making a selection, wait f or a f ew seconds until the display returns to the previous screen. The iPod menu is set. Pressing the TUNE knob cancels this setting mode bef ore returning to the normal display. Turn the TUNE knob to select an item. If you select ‘‘ALL’’ on either the artists or albums list, all available f iles on the selected list are played. You can also select a file from any list on the iPod menu: playlists, artists, albums and songs, by using the TUNE knob. Push the TUNE knob to switch the display to an iPod menu, then turn the TUNE knob to select a desired list. µµ µ You can select any type of repeat and shuf f le modes by using the RPT and RDM buttons. To continuously replay a song, press and release the RPT button. You will see RPT in the display. Press it again to turn it of f .Press and release the RDM button to play the songs in random order. You will see RDM in the display. Press and hold the RDM button to return to normal play. This feature, when activated, plays all songs in each album in random order. To activate shuffle album, press the RDM button twice. You will see F- RDM in the display. Disconnect the dock connector of the iPod f rom the USB adapter cable. Make sure to f ollow the maker’s instructions to disconnect it.To play the radio, press the AM/FM button. Press the CD/AUX button to switch to the disc mode (if a disc is loaded). Press the CD/AUX button again to switch back to the iPod mode. If there is a problem with your iPod, an error message will appear. The chart on the right explains the error messages you may see. Disconnect the iPod, and reconnect it. If there is still a problem, the error message will reappear. Î Î The audio system reads and plays the audio f iles on the USB f lash memory device in MP3, WMA or AAC f ormats. Depending on the f ormat, the display shows MP3, WMA or AAC when a USB flash memory device is playing. The USB f lash memory device limit is up to 700 f olders or up to 65535 f iles. Only AAC f ormat f iles recorded with iTunes are playable on this audio unit. The recommended USB f lash memory devices are 256 MB or higher. Some digital audio players maybecompatibleaswell. The recommended USB f lash memory devices are: This audio system can operate the audio f iles on the USB f lash memory device with the same controls used f or the disc player. To play a USB f lash memory device, connect it to the USB adapter cable equipped with your vehicle, then press the CD/ AUX button. The ignition switch must be in the ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position. We recommend backing up your data bef ore playing it. Do not keep a USB f lash memory device in the vehicle. Direct sunlight and high heat will damage it. Do not use an extension cable to the USB adapter cable equipped with your vehicle. Do not connect your USB f lash memory device using a hub. Do not use a device such as a card reader or hard drive as the device or your f iles may be damaged. You can disconnect the USB f lash memory device at any time even if the USB mode is selected on the audio system. Make sure to follow the USB f lash memory device’s instructions when you remove it. Connect the USB f lash memory device to the USB adapter cable correctly and securely. Open the lid of the USB adapter cable socket. Insert the USB adapter cable connector into it securely.
