    							Printer Transfer and Transportation
    !Caution:
    ❏When carrying the printer,
lift it using a stable position.
Lifting the printer using an unstable position may result
    in injury.
❏Because this printer is heavy, it should always be carried by two or more people when unpacking and
    transporting.
    ❏When
lifting the printer, place your hands in the positions shown below. If you
    lift the printer holding other
positions, the printer may fall or you may trap your
    fingers when placing the printer.
❏When carrying the printer, do not tilt it more than 10 degrees; otherwise the printer may fall.
❏When installing the printer on the optional cabinet, lock the casters before starting installation. If the cabinet
moves unexpectedly, you may be injured.
Printer Transfer Within a Short Distance
Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord and cables. Do not apply vibrations to the printer and keep it
    level while carrying.
    When lifting the printer
If you have installed the optional cabinet and the paper cassette units, remove them, and then
    lift the printer.
When moving the printer on the casters
If you have installed the optional cabinet, you can move the printer without lifting it because the cabinet has
casters. However, do not move over uneven or rough surfaces to avoid impacts to the printer. Uninstall the stands
for the cabinet and unlock the casters before moving.
    Transporting the Printer
Prepare the printer for transport as described here. User's Guide

    							cImportant:
    ❏When storing or transporting the printer, avoid tilting it, placing it vertically, or turning it upside down;
    otherwise ink may leak.
❏Remove the ink supply units before you transport the printer; otherwise ink may leak during transporting. After
the transportation, re-install the ink supply units as soon as possible to prevent the print head drying out.
❏Leave the maintenance box installed; otherwise ink may leak during transporting.
    1.
Turn off the printer by pressing the P button.
    2.
Make sure the power light turns off, and then unplug the power cord.
    cImportant:
Unplug the power cord when the power light is off. Otherwise, the print head does not return to the home
position causing the ink to dry, and printing may become impossible.
    3. Disconnect all cables such as the power cord and USB cable.
    4. Remove all of the paper from the printer.
    5. Make sure there are no originals on the printer.
    6. Store the paper support and the output tray.
    7. Open the ink case.
    8. Push the handle on the ink supply unit.

❏Do not drop or knock the ink supply unit against hard objects; otherwise, the ink may leak.
    10. Push in the pop-out section.
    11. Close the ink case.
    12. Open the ink case on the opposite side of the printer, and then remove all of the ink supply units.
