162 Setting Your Machine User Parameters 12 ■ Setting the User Parameters 5 ■ General Description Your facsimile machine has several basic settings (User Parameters) to \ help you keep records of the documents you send or receive. For example, the built-in clock keeps the current date and time\ , and your LOGO and ID Number help to identify you when you send or receive documents. These parameters can be programmed via your PC by using the Configuratio\ n Editor included with the Panasonic Document Management System software CD-ROM (included with the machine). Follow the Operating Instructions included with the Panasonic Document M\ anagement System application. 6 9 Enter your Character ID (Up to 16 characters and digits). 10 NOTE1. You may use to enter a + character at the beginning of the ID number to indicate the following digit(s) for your country code. To use this dialling method, you must first store the telephone numbers, or Email addresses using the following procedure. ■ Adding Address Book 12 5a 5b Email address (Up to 60 characters) or 39611234_ T elephone number (Up to 36 digits) 6 Station Name (Up to 15 characters) NOTE1. Press “ 03 Modify Station ” or “04 Delete Station ” to edit/delete a address book. 2. 166 Setting Your Machine 12 ■ Setting the Fax Parameters ■ General Description Your facsimile machine has a variety of adjustable Fax Parameters. These parameters, listed in the Parameter Table, are preset for you and do not need to be changed. If you do want to make a c\ hange, read the table carefully. Some parameters, such as the Resolution, Contrast, and Verification Stamp parameters, can be temporarily changed by simple key o\ peration just before a transmission is made. When the transmission ends, however, these parameters return to their preset values (Home position). Other parameters can only be changed by the procedure descri\ bed below. Fax Parameters NOTE1.
