Sender AddressEnter the E-mail address of the person responsible for the scanner system, such as the machine administrator, so that a reply or non-delivery report will go to a person rather than to the machine. The sender address must be entered correctly for SMTP authentication. The maximum length of the sender address is 126 characters. SignatureEnter the signature. The signature is free form text that will appear at the end of the E-mail body. It is often used for further identification of the machine. The maximum length of the signature is 126 characters. Preparation before Use 2-18OPERATION GUIDE SMB Settings The SMB function allows you to store scanned images on a computer connected to the network. To use this function, register the following information: • Login User Name • Login Password • SMB Port Number (normally 139) • The computer’s IP address and host name • The computer path (to the destination folder to be used for the saved images) • Destination folder sharing (Writable shared folder) The user name and password set using the operation panel are also used to log on to the computer where the destination folder is located. Set the access privileges for the folder in Windows on the computer where the folder is located. This section explains the procedure for specifying the SMB settings in COMMAND CENTER. 1Click Scanner -> SMB. 2Enter the correct settings in each field. To use this function, register the information below. If you are unsure about this information, contact your system administrator. • Login User Name • Login Password • FTP Port Number (normally 21) • FTP server IP address and host name • FTP path (to the destination folder to be used for the saved images) • Sharing of the FTP server save destination (Writable shared folder) The login user name and login password registered using the operation panel are also used for FTP login.
