    scan job was auto-

    scan the first page, and 
    then scan the next

    ber of image data 
    files has been 
    reached.Turn the machine off, 
    and then, after a few 
    seconds, turn it on 
    again. Decrease the 
    amount of data to be 
    printed (for example, 
    by decreasing the res-
    olution), and then try 
    printing again.
    MEMORY FULLThe machine has 
    received more data 
    than can be pro-
    cessed with its inter-
    nal memory.Turn the machine off, 
    and then, after a few 
    seconds, turn it on 
    again. Decrease the 
    amount of data to be 
    printed (for example, 
    by decreasing the res-
    olution), and then try 
    printing again.
    NO NETWORK SETTINGThe network set-
    tings had not been 
    completely specified 
    when the machine 
    was switched to 
    Scan mode.Before scanning in

    data, or specify an 
    e-mail address regis-
    tered in the favorite list 
    or as a speed dial des-
    tination or group dial 
    destination.
    When sending scan 
    data to an FTP 
    address or SMB 
    address, only one 
    address can be speci-
    fied. Delete all speci-
    fied destinations, or 
    send the scan data, 
    then scan again.

    PAPER SIZE ERROR

    fied in the printer 
    driver.Press the Start key to 
    cancel the caution.
    To print on paper of the 
    size specified in the 
    printer driver, load 
    paper of the correct 
    size into the specified 
    tray, and then try per-
    forming the print job 
    again. 
    PC CONNECTION FAILEDWhile data was 
    being sent in Scan 
    mode, the connec-
    tion to the computer 
    was interrupted.Check the connection 
    with the computer and 
    the scanner driver sta-

    Service Messages
    These messages indicate a more serious fault that can only be corrected by a 
    customer service engineer. If one of these messages appears, turn the 
    machine off, then turn it on again. If the problem persists, contact your local 
    vendor or authorized service provider.

    SERVICE CALL (xxxx)An error has been

    the service message.Reboot the machine. 
    This often clears the
