Touching anything other than the indicated levers may result in burns. If you get burned, immediately cool the skin under cold water, and then seek professional medical attention. Clearing Media Misfeeds9-11 4Remove any misfed media. If a media misfeed occurs near the fuser unit, pull out the media from below the fuser unit, as shown in the illustration at the right. If the media cannot be removed from below the fuser unit, raise the fuser unit cover, and then remove the media from above the fuser unit. Remove the dust cover from Tray 1 and remove the media. If the media cannot be removed, instead of pull- ing it with extreme force, clear the media misfeed according to the proce- dure described in “Clear- ing a Media Misfeed in the Machine” on page 9-8. 3Reattach the dust cover. 4Press the Start key.
