Advanced copy operations6 bizhub 163/211 6-3 6 Advanced copy operations 6.1 Finishing settings (SORT/GROUP) When copying/printing two or more sets of a document, the copies can be divided either by sets containing a copy of each page (sorted) or by pages (grouped). Finishing methods NON-SORT The copies are fed out and stacked on top of each other as they are printed. Advanced copy operations6 bizhub 163/211 6-5 Crisscross sorting Each copy set is fed out in an alternating crisscross pattern of the w and v orientations. ! Detail In order to feed out copies in a crisscross pattern, the following conditions must be met. A4- or B5-size paper is used. Paper of the same size and type is loaded with the w orientation in one paper drawer and with the v orientation in another drawer. The AUTO Paper setting is selected. The Mixed Original setting is not selected. The CRISSCROSS MODE parameter in Utility mode is set to ON. (Refer to Selecting the setting for crisscross feeding (CRISSCROSS MODE parameter) on page 7-82.) 6Advanced copy operations 6-10 bizhub 163/211 6.2 Making 2in1 or 4in1 copies Using the original glass 2 Note If the document is placed on the original glass and 2in1 or 4in1 copies are being produced, the copy job cannot be interrupted. 1Lift open the document feeder. 2Position the first page of the document on the original glass. – Refer to Loading the document on page 4-18. 3Press the [Combine Original] key. The manufacturer’s default setting is PATTERN1. – For details on specifying the setting, refer to Selecting the 4in1 page order (4IN1 COPY ORDER parameter) on page 7-76. The indicator on the [Combine Original] key lights up. 5If necessary, specify any other copy settings. – Refer to Before making copies on page 4-3. – Refer to Advanced copy operations on page 6-3. – If multiple copies are to be printed, press the [Finishing] key, and then select SORT. 6Using the keypad, type in the desired number of copies, and then press the [Start] key.
