A maximum of 10 envelopes can be loaded into the multi bypass tray. 2 Reminder Before loading envelopes, press them down to make sure that all air is removed, and make sure that the folds of the flaps are firmly pressed, otherwise the envelopes may become wrinkled or a paper misfeed may occur. 5Making copies 5-28 bizhub 163/211Copying onto manually fed paper (manual bypass tray) 2 Reminder When loading thick paper or postcards, be sure to flatten them if they are curled. 1Position the document to be copied. – Refer to Loading the document on page 4-18. 2Insert one sheet of paper with the side to be printed on facing down, lightly sliding the paper as much as possible into the feed slot. 5Making copies 5-30 bizhub 163/211 7Press the [+] or [,] key until the appropriate paper type is selected, and then press the [OK] key. – PLAIN, TRANSPARENCY, CARD or ENVELOPE are available as paper type settings. The BYPASS PAPER SETTING menu appears again. 8Select RETURN. – To change the paper size or type setting, remove the inserted paper, and then repeat steps 2 through 8. The main screen appears. 9If necessary, specify any other copy settings. – Refer to Specifying a zoom setting on page 5-53. – Refer to Selecting a density setting on page 5-61. – Refer to Advanced copy operations on page 6-3. 10Press the [Start] key. – To copy additional pages with the same settings, loading paper into the manual bypass tray automatically starts copying. – To copy continuously on thick paper, postcards, overhead projector transparencies or envelopes, use the 1st paper drawer.
