    Ifyou enlarged theimage inan image-editing program,youneed toincrease theresolution settingto
     retain
    ahigh image quality. Increase theresolution bythe same amount youincreased theimage size.
     For
    example, ifthe resolution is300 dpi(dots perinch) andyouwilldouble theimage sizelater,
     change
    theresolution settingto600 dpi.
     Note:
    Higher resolution settingsresultinlarger filesizes, which takelonger toprocess andprint.
     Consider
    thelimitations ofyour computer systemwhenselecting aresolution, andselect thelowest
     possible
    resolution thatproduces acceptable qualitytokeep filesizes manageable.

    Verify thatthetelephone walljack works byconnecting aphone toitand testing it.

    Ifthere isno dial tone andyouconnected theproduct toaPBX (Private BranchExchange) phoneline
     or
    Terminal Adapter,changetheLine Type setting toPBX .If you stillcannot sendafax, turn offthe
     turn
    offthe products dialtone detection setting.(Turning offthe dial tone setting maycause the
     product
    todrop thefirst digit ofafax number.)
     •
    Ifyou connected yourproduct toaDSL phone line,youmust connect aDSL filtertothe phone jackto

    faxingovertheline. Contact yourDSLprovider forthe necessary filter.

    Ifyour telephone linehas static, turnoffyour products errorcorrection modefaxcommunication

    andtryfaxing again.
     •
    Try lowering yourproducts faxspeed setting.

    Make suretheerror correction mode(ECM) setting isturned onifyou aretrying tosend orreceive a

    fax.
     •
    Ifyour telephone lineuses callwaiting andyouhave trouble receiving faxes,turnoffcall waiting to
