Theusernamemustuseprintablecharacters.Assigningdescriptiveusernamescanhelp
youtoeasilyidentifytheownerofeachloginname.
•LoginnameisthenameyoumustusewhenloggingintoiLO.Itappearsintheuserlist
ontheUserAdministrationpage,ontheiLOOverviewpage,andiniLOlogs.TheLogin

forverification.
6.SelectfromthefollowingiLOprivileges.Toenableaprivilege,setittoYes.Todisablea
privilege,setittoNo.
•AdministerUserAccounts—Enablesausertoadd,edit,anddeletelocaliLOuseraccounts.
Auserwiththisprivilegecanchangeprivilegesforallusers.Ifyoudonothavethis
privilege,youcanviewyourownsettingsandchangeyourownpassword.
•RemoteConsoleAccess—EnablesausertoremotelyaccessthehostsystemRemote
Console,includingvideo,keyboard,andmousecontrol.
•VirtualPowerandReset—Enablesausertopower-cycleorresetthehostsystem.These
activitiesinterruptthesystemavailability.Auserwiththisprivilegecandiagnosethe
systembyusingtheGenerateNMItoSystembutton.
•VirtualMedia—EnablesausertousetheVirtualMediafeatureonthehostsystem.
•ConfigureSettings—EnablesausertoconfiguremostiLOsettings,includingsecurity
settings,andtoremotelyupdatetheiLOfirmware.Thisprivilegedoesnotenablelocal
useraccountadministration.
AfteriLOisconfigured,revokingthisprivilegefromalluserspreventsreconfiguration
usingthewebinterface,HPQLOCFG,ortheCLI.UserswhohaveaccesstoiLORBSU,
theiLO4ConfigurationUtility,orHPONCFGcanstillreconfigureiLO.Onlyauserwho
hastheAdministerUserAccountsprivilegecanenableordisablethisprivilege.
7.PressF10tosavethenewuseraccount.
8.RepeatStep4throughStep7untilyouaredonecreatinguseraccounts.
9.SelectFile→ExittoexitiLORBSU.
