Therearetwotext-basedconsoleoptions,asdescribedinthefollowingsections: •“UsingtheiLOVirtualSerialPort”(page212) •“UsingtheText-basedRemoteConsole(Textcons)”(page222) UsingtheiLOVirtualSerialPort Youcanaccessatext-basedconsolefromiLOusingastandardlicenseandtheiLOVirtualSerial Port. TheiLOVirtualSerialPortisonetypeofiLOtext-basedremoteconsole.TheiLOVirtualSerialPort givesyouabidirectionaldataflowwithaserverserialport.Usingtheremoteconsole,youcan operateasifaphysicalserialconnectionexistsontheremoteserverserialport. TheiLOVirtualSerialPortisdisplayedasatext-basedconsole,buttheinformationisrendered throughgraphicalvideodata.iLOdisplaysthisinformationthroughanSSHclientwhentheserver isinapre-operating-systemstate,enablinganonlicensediLOtoobserveandinteractwiththe serverduringPOSTactivities.
