RestrictingMachineOperationYou can restrict printing, copying, or faxing operations or to use a USB flash drive or a shared folder on the computer. Restrictions can be disabled temporality. Disabling Operation Restriction Temporarily To enable this function, apply the administrator password for changing settings on the operation panel. Setting Administrator Password on Operation Panel 1. Make sure printer is turned on. 2. Select Setup on HOME screen. LCD and Operation Panel 3. Select Devicesettings and press OK button. 4. Select Operationrestrictions and press OK button. 5. Enter administrator password. 6. When confirmation screen of operation restriction is displayed, select Yes and press OK button. If you have already performed operation restriction setting, the menu items are displayed. Select Changeoperationrestrictions and press the OK button. 7. Select operation you want to restrict and press OK button. After you have selected the operation you want to restrict, the setting items are displayed. Use the button to select an item and press the OK button. Copy Restricts copying operations. If you select Restrictallcopying, you can restrict all copying operations. If you select Restrictcolorcopying, you can restrict color copying operations only. Printfromstoragemedium Restricts to print from a USB flash drive. ScantoUSBflashdrive Restricts to save the scanned data on a USB flash drive. Scantodestinationfolder Restricts to forward the scanned data to a shared folder on the computer. 1. Autopoweroff Specifies the length of time to turn the printer off automatically when no operation is made or no printing data is sent to the printer. 2. Autopoweron Selecting ON enables the printer to turn on automatically when a scanning command from a computer or printing data is sent to the printer. SpecifyingTimeandDaytoTurnon/offPrinterAutomatically Follow the procedure below to use power saving function. 1. Make sure printer is turned on. 2. Select ECOsettings on HOME screen. LCD and Operation Panel 3. Select Powercontrol and press OK button. 4. Select Enablescheduling and press OK button. 5. Check message and press OK button. 6. Specify settings as necessary.
