Hold lets you put a call in a tem- porary waiting state. The caller on Hold hears silence or Music on Hold, not the conversation in your work area. While your call waits on Hold, you can process other calls and use other features. Calls that you leave on Hold too long will recall to you if you forget to pick them up. You can leave a Message Waiting indication at a busy or unanswered co-worker’s phone requesting a return call. You don’t have to keep calling your co-worker back, hoping to find them available.
