CompactFlash 203 7Mount the CF Adapter onto the controller board as shown in the figure, and then secure the screws. 8Fully insert the CompactFlash card into the appropriate slot. When the CompactFlash card is correctly inserted, the button on the side of the slot (circled in the illustration) slightly pops out. Before removing the Com- pactFlash card, press this button. 9Reinstall the panel and tighten the two screws. 10Attach the right side cover. 11Reconnect all interface cables. 12Reconnect the power cord, and turn on the printer. Duplex 206 2Pushing the two tabs as shown in the figure, remove the rear cover of the printer. 3Remove the connector cover of the printer as shown in the fig- ure. 4Insert the right and left tabs at the bottom of the duplex into the holes at the back of the printer, and then align the top of the duplex with the printer. Lower Feeder Unit 209 Installing the Lower Feeder Unit Note Since consumables are installed in the printer, be sure to keep the printer level when moving it in order to prevent accidental spills. 1Turn off the printer and discon- nect the power cord and inter- face cables. 2Place the feeder unit to be installed at the lower level on a flat location. If you install only one lower feeder unit, proceed to Step 6. 3Lift up the feeder unit to be installed at the higher level by holding the parts as shown in the figure. Lower Feeder Unit 210 4Align the front and back corners of the top and bottom feeder units, and slowly lower the top unit so that the guide pins at the 4 corners of the bottom unit fit into the holes of the base plate of the top unit. 5Securely insert the fasteners into the 2 locations inside the top feeder unit and 2 locations at the back of the feeder units.
