    StoptheBlackBerryScreenReaderfromreadingdialogboxes,tips,andnotifications
    When a dialog box, tip, or notification appears on your BlackBerry device screen, the BlackBerry Screen 
    Reader
     moves from your point of regard to the message on the screen. The BlackBerry Screen Reader 
    reads the message from the top. If you donht want to hear the contents of the dialog box, tip, or 
    notification, you can stop the 
    BlackBerry Screen Reader from reading it.
    Tap on the screen to stop reading the message.
    Customizeyouraccessibilitysettings
    You can customize your BlackBerry device to help suit your needs. For example, you can magnify the 
    screen, use your hearing aid with your device, and change the font size.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > Accessibility.

    TurnonMagnifymode
    You can use Magnify mode to enlarge the information on your BlackBerry device screen. You can zoom 
    in to or zoom out from the screen, even if you use an application that doesnht normally support zooming.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > Accessibility.
    3.Turn on the MagnifyMode switch.
    The information on the screen immediately appears larger.
    4.To move around the magnified screen, use two fingers to move the screen in the direction you want 
    to go. 
    Customizethemagnificationlevel
    When you use Magnify mode, you can customize the level of magnification on the screen.
    To adjust the magnification without leaving your current screen, in magnification mode do one of the 
    following:
    tTo increase the magnification, zoom in by sliding your fingers apart.
    tTo decrease the magnification, zoom out by sliding your fingers together.
    If you reach the maximum magnification, your BlackBerry device vibrates.
    TemporarilyturnoffMagnifymode
    You may want to temporarily turn off the magnification of your screen to see the whole screen at once, 
    and then turn on Magnify mode again to continue what you were doing.
    Using two fingers, triple-tap anywhere on the screen.

    TurnontheReverseContrastfeature
    The Reverse Contrast feature provides the option to change your display to a dark background with light 
    text, and reverses the contrast of images.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > Accessibility.
    3.Turn on the ReverseContrast switch.
    TurnontheClosedCaptionssetting
    The Closed Captions setting displays text on your BlackBerry device screen when you play video files 
    that support closed captioning. The captioned content specifies the default settings for Character and 
    Caption Background.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > Accessibility.
    3.Turn on the ClosedCaptions switch.
    4.Change any of the Character settings for CharacterColor, CharacterOpacity, CharacterSize, or 
    Font.
    5.Change any of the CaptionBackground settings for CaptionBackgroundColor or Caption
    BackgroundOpacity
    .
    After you change any of the Character settings or Caption Background settings, you can see the 
    changes in the Preview window.
    TurnonHearingAidmode
    This feature might not be supported depending on your BlackBerry device model. This feature only 
    supports hearing aids equipped with a telecoil.

    							Hearing Aid mode is designed to improve the compatibility of your device with your hearing aid. When 
    you have Hearing Aid mode turned on, 
     appears on the status bar.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > Accessibility > HearingAidSettings.
    3.Turn on the HearingAidMode switch.
    TurnonTTYsupport
    The TTY device that you want to connect to your BlackBerry device must operate at 45.45 bps.
    TTY support is designed to allow your device to connect with an external TTY device that converts 
    received calls to text.
    If your TTY device is designed for use with a 2.5-mm headset jack, you must use an adapter accessory 
    to connect your TTY device to your device.
    1.Connect a TTY device to your device according to the instructions that came with your TTY device.
    2.In the Phone app, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    3.Tap  Settings > TTY.
    4.Turn on the TTY switch.
    Tip:You can also turn on TTY support from your home screen. Swipe down from the top of the screen. 
    Tap 
     Settings > Accessibility > TTY.
    Mediacardsandstorage
    A media card lets you store more pictures, videos, music, and documents on your BlackBerry device! 
    The files that you store on your device can be transferred between your device and your computer in just 
    a few steps.
    Movingorcopyingmediafilesanddocuments
    You can drag and drop documents, pictures, videos, music, and other files by using your BlackBerry 
    device as a drive on your computer.
    You can also use BlackBerry Link to keep your media files and documents in sync between your device 
    and your computer. To download 
    BlackBerry Link, on your computer, visit www.blackberry.com/

    Tip:To locate files on your device, if you know the file or folder name, tap  to search for it.

    Your device and media card appear as drives on your computer.
    3.Go to the files or folders that you want to copy.
    4.Drag and drop the files or folders.
    TransferfilesbetweenyourcomputeranddeviceusingaWi-Ficonnection
    You must set a new storage access password each time that you turn on access to storage using a Wi-
    Fi
     network. Before files are moved over a Wi-Fi network, you are prompted to enter the storage access 
    password.
    1.On the home screen of your BlackBerry device, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > About.
    3.In the Category drop-down list, tap Network. Make note of the IPv4address.
    4.Tap .
    5.Tap StorageandAccess.
    6.Turn on the AccessusingWi-Fi switch.
    7.Type a storage access password.
    8.Tap IdentificationonNetwork and make note of the Username.
    9.On your computer, do one of the following:
    tIf your computer uses a Windows operating system, in a Run command, type the IP address using 
    the following format: \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
    tIf your computer uses a Mac operating system, click Go > ConnecttoServer. Type the IP 
    address using the following format: smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
    10.Go to the files or folders that you want to copy.
    11.When prompted, enter the username and storage access password.
    12.Drag and drop the files or folders.

    							Usingamediacard
    Want more space to store your ring tones, videos, pictures, and songs? For additional space to save 
    documents and media files, you can insert a microSD card into your 
    BlackBerry device. Using a media 
    card can help to increase the performance and power efficiency of your device.
    You might be able to move large amounts of data by simply moving the media card into another device 
    that supports the microSD card.
    Supportedmediacards
    Your BlackBerry device supports media card sizes up to 64 GB. Only microSD cards are supported.
    To use a media card larger than 32 GB, you may need to format the media card to FAT32 format. You 
    can use your device to format your media card.
    Formatyourmediacard
    You can format your media card to help resolve an issue with the media card. When you format your 
    media card, all of your media card data is deleted.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > StorageandAccess.
    3.Tap FormatMediaCard.
    Wipedatafromyourmediacard
    To help protect your privacy, you can permanently delete all of your media card data. Depending on the 
    amount of data, this process might take some time.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > StorageandAccess.
    3.Tap EraseMediaCard.
    To use the media card again, you must format it.
    Turnonencryption
    Your BlackBerry device creates and stores an encryption key when you turn on encryption. Your device 
    uses this encryption key to access encrypted files on your media card.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > SecurityandPrivacy > Encryption.
    3.Do any of the following:
    tTurn on the DeviceEncryption switch.
    tTurn on the MediaCardEncryption switch.

    							CAUTION:Turn off encryption or back up your encrypted media card files before a security wipe. A 
    security wipe is designed to delete your device data including the encryption key. Without the encryption 
    key, your device cant access your encrypted media card files.
    Checkhowmuchstoragespaceisfree
    You can view the amount of used and free storage space available on your BlackBerry device and your 
    media card. You can also see a breakdown of what types of files are taking up space.
    1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
    2.Tap  Settings > StorageandAccess.
    3.Tap DeviceStorageDetails or MediaCardDetails.
    Tip:The amount of available storage space displays when you minimize the FileManager app.

    To make room for more files and apps, try any of the following:
    tSave documents and media files on your media card. To automatically save camera pictures and

    tReduce the size of pictures that you take and videos that you record. To change the ratio option for

    tDelete files that you donht need. To delete multiple items, in an app, tap  > . Select the items 
    and tap

    tDelete apps that you donht use. To delete an app, on the home screen, touch and hold an app icon 
    until the icons begin to blink. On the icon for the app that you want to delete, tap

     on the app icon, the app canht be deleted.
    tDelete messages in the BlackBerry Hub that you donht need. You can delete individual messages and 
    multiple messages. To delete messages only from your device, but keep them on the messaging 
    server, tap

    all messages that were sent or received before a specific date, touch and hold the date bar. The  messages are highlighted. Tap

    CAUTION:Media card data is deleted when you format a media card.

    A password is blocking access to the media card and data stored on it. Insert a media card into your 
    BlackBerry device that isnht password protected.

    You can view and open files on the media card. You canht move, delete, or modify the files on the media  card.

    The media card isnht communicating with your BlackBerry device. Consider using a different media card.

    Make sure that there is a media card in your BlackBerry device and that iths inserted properly.
    UsingyourdevicewithBlackBerryLink
    Use BlackBerry Link to manage your device and allow connections between your device and your 
    computer. You can:
    tAllow remote file access, so that your device can access files stored in the libraries on your  computer.
    tView and delete files that are stored on your computer from your device.
    tSync contacts and calendar appointments between your device and your computer.
    tSync music, pictures, videos, and documents between your device and your computer over a USB connection or a 
    Wi-Fi connection.
    tBack up and restore your device data.
    tTransfer supported settings and data to a new device.
    tManage multiple devices on your computer that use the same or a different BlackBerry ID.
