Click to enlarge 60/40 split seat-Explorer Click to enlarge Remove the seat track insulator (Ranger passenger seat only). 1. Remove the 4 seat track-to-floorpan screws (2 each side) and lift the seat and track assembly from the vehicle. 2. To remove the seat tracks from the seat cushion, position the seat upside down on a clean bench. 3. Disconnect the latch tie rod assembly and assist spring from the tracks. 4. Remove 4 track-to-seat cushion screws (2 each side) from the track assemblies. Remove the tracks from seat cushion. 5. To install: Position the tracks to the seat cushion. Install the 4 track-to-seat cushion screws (2 each side) and tighten. 6. Connect the latch tie rod assembly and assist spring to the tracks. 7. Position the seat and track assembly in the vehicle. 8. Install 4 track-to-floorpan screws and tighten to specification. 9. Install the seat track insulators (Ranger passenger seat only). 10. HOW TO USE THIS BOOK 1134 REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

Rear seat belt system-Explorer Click to enlarge Remove the retaining bolt from the retractor assembly if applicable. 1. Lift the carpet as required, and remove the retaining bolt securing the assembly to the floorpan or side panel. 2. Remove the bolt from the strap guide, if necessary, and remove the assembly from the vehicle. 3. Installation is the reverse of removal. Refer to the proper illustration for proper torque values. 4.
