    1Load paper into the Media Tray or Option Cassette*1.
    • The following paper must be used. Otherwise, it may cause wrinkles or paper jam.
    Media Type:Plain paper [75 – 90 g/m
    2 (20 – 24 lb.)]
    Paper Size:Letter, Legal, A4, B5 or Executive
    • Lay the paper straight if the paper is curled.
    *1If the Optional 2nd Feeder has been installed, this selection can be selected.
    NOTE
    • Manual feed cannot be used for automatic duplex printing.
    2Open a document to perform duplex printing.
    3Select Page Setup… from your application’s File menu.
    4Select your printer from the Format for menu.
    5Select the paper size (Letter, Legal, A4, B5 or Executive) from Paper for 
    the proper paper loaded in the media tray.
    6Click [OK].
    7Select Print... from the application’s File menu.
    8Select Media Tray or Option Cassette (option) from Paper Source.
    9Click General menu and select Printer Specific Options menu.
    10Select Plain Paper from Media Type.

    11 Click Printer Specific Options menu and select Layout menu.
    12Click on the Print on Both Sides check box and click your desired 
    binding style icon.
    13Click [Print].
    The document will be automatically printed on both sides of paper.

    Mac OS X intensively manages adding, deleting, searching a printer or displaying the printer 
    status, etc. with the application Print Center.
    Before you can use a printer, you must add the printer in the Print Center.
    You will need to select the Page Setup window from your application’s file menu to set general 
    printing options for your printer.
    Additional print options can then be specified from your application’s Print selecting window.
    NOTE
    • The Print Center is in the Utilities folder (Macintosh HD:Applications:Utilities).
    • Screen shots in Mac OS X 10.1 are used in this Operating Instructions. Menus may be 
    different depending on the version of Mac OS X.
    Be sure the printer is connected to the network and turned it on.
    1Open the Print Center and choose Add Printer... from the Printers 
    menu.
    2Choose AppleTalk as the connection type, and click KX-P7310-
    XXXXXX.
    KX-P7310-XXXXXX is displayed in the Printer List. 
    (XXXXXX: last 3 bytes of the MAC Address)
    3Confirm the Printer Model is set to Auto Select... and click Add.
    4Close the Print Center.

    Be sure the printer is connected to the computer with the USB interface cable and turned it on.
    1Open the Print Center and choose Add Printer... from the Printers menu.
    2Choose USB as the connection type, and click KX-P7305 or KX-P7310.
    3Confirm the Printer Model is set to Auto Select... and click Add.
    KX-P7305 or KX-P7310 is displayed in the Printer List.
    4Close the Print Center.
    1Open the Print Center and click KX-P7305, KX-P7310 or KX-P7310-
    XXXXXX.
    2Select Make Default from the Printers menu.
    3Close the Print Center.
    NOTE
    • When you add a printer in the Print Center, the new printer becomes the default printer.

    1Open the file you want to print from within the application.
    2Select Page Setup... from your application’s File menu.
    3Select the desired printer from the Format for.
    4Click Page Attributes Menu and select the desired menu.

    1Paper Size
    Selects a different paper size. The following paper sizes can be selected.
    US Letter,  US Legal, A4, B5 (ISO), Executive Envelope, A5, A6, Com9, #10 Envelope, 
    Monarch Envelope, Long Envelope, C5 Envelope.
    2Orientation
    Selects  (Portrait) or  (Landscape) or   (Rotated Landscape).
    3Scale
    Reduces or enlarges output on the printed page.

    1Open a file to perform printing in your application.
    2Select Print... from your application’s File menu.
    3Select your printer from the Printer menu.
    4Choose categories from pop-up menu.

    Duplex Allows you to set the duplex printing

    PostScript error has occurred.

    Summary Shows the Print window’s settings summary.
    Save Custom Setting Allows you to set the current printer settings to the 
    Custom in the Presets selection. You will be able to 
    restore printer settings saved before by choosing

    1Copies
    Determines the number of copies of a document to print.
    2Pages
    Specifies the range of pages.
    3Collated
    Clicking on this check box prints the copies of the entire document a number of times, 
    from 1st page to the last page. If you print 3 copies of a 5 pages document, printer prints 
    page 1 through page 5 three times.
    Clicking off this check box prints 3 copies of the 1st page, then 3 copies of the next page and so 
    on.

    1Pages per Sheet
    Specifies how many pages of your document to print on one sheet of paper.
    2Layout Direction
    Specifies the layout of the pages per sheet.
    3Border
    Sets the type of line to appear around the page.
