6. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
General
6.01The microprocessorcontrols the operationswithin the
DATASET. It adds High-level Data Link Control (HDLC) control
bytes to incoming data received through its RS-232 port, before the
data is passed to the HDLC Controller to be packetized and sent out
via the 
DNIC to the PABX. Similarly data received through the PABX
has its address and HDLC control bytes stripped off before it is sent

7. POWER SUPPLIES
General
7.01The DATASET 1101 Cartridge and the Standalone DATASET1103 receive their power from a plug-in transformer which
supplies 9 
vat to a power connector on the back of the set. Circuitry
within the data set converts this to the required dc voltages. The
digital telephone set voice operation receives its power from the PABX,
whether or not the 
DATASET 1101 Cartridge power supply is plugged
