    81.01 The following Table lists all of the status and error messages 
    which may appear at the maintenance terminal during a main- 
    tenance session:

    lNSTALLAl-ION OF NEW SOFTWARE 
    Cl.01 This Appendix outlines the procedures involved in the installa- 
    tion of new or upgraded software. Additional information may 
    be found in Section MITL9108-093-200-NA, Shipping, Receiving 
    and 
    Installation. The SX-200’ DIGITAL PABX software is stored on a single 
    5 l/4 inch floppy diskette; the database is also stored here. When 
    upgraded software is procurred, it is desirable to simply copy the 
    customized database from the old software diskette onto ttie new 
    software diskette, rather that re-entering the database manually. The 
    procedures for this are outlined below. 
    Procedure 
    Cl.02 It is important to note that these procedures involve a complete 
    reset of the system (needed to initialize the new software). 
    Therefore, this procedure should be done only at night, or during a 
    period of low traffic to ensure minimum effect upon system users. To 
    install new software, follow the following procedures in Table Cl-l.. --

    1 Select the MAINTENANCE application at the maintenance terminal, and log in. See 
    Paragraph 2.05 of this Section. 
    I 2 1 Press the SYSTEM softkey to access the System Level in the Maintenance Application. 1

    4 To record the database, enter the following softkeys: 
    COPY 
    DATABASE 
    ENTER 
    Wait for the database to be read into DRAM; this is complete when the following 
    message is presented at the maintenance terminal: 
    Insert new disk, close door and press CONTINUE. 
    I 5 ( Remove the original floppy diskette from the disk drive.

    6 Insert the new software diskette into the disk drive, and move the latch into the closed 
    position. 
    9 Press the CONTINUE softkey to write the database on to the new floppy diskette. 
    8 Wait for the write to complete; this is indicated by the following message: 
    Copy successful. Press CANCEL to continue.
