(f) Delay  
After pressing the Measure button, measurement is 
started following the delay time set here.    It is used for 
temperature stabilization, etc.    In repeat measurement, 
it is the time until the start of the first measurement.   
The delay time is invalid for the second and 
subsequent measurements.

When selecting the Monitor tab, the window in Fig. 3-5

(a)  Y-Axis Max (maximum)   
Input a maximum value for Y-axis on the monitor 
window.

(f)  Open data processing window after data acquisition   
Select whether or not to conduct data processing after 
sample measurement.    When selected (check mark is 
applied), data is automatically saved after 
measurement.  
 
NOTE:  When the remaining memory capacity of PC 
in operation is very small (system resource is 
less than 20%), the data processing window 
will not open even if this item is turned ON.

(a) Processing choices  
A list of data processing (Savitsky-Golay smooth, 
Mean smooth, Median smooth, Derivative) is shown.     
Select a data processing item, and click the rightward-
pointing arrow key between the Processing choices 
and Processing steps display fields.    Then, the 
selected method appears in the Processing steps field.

Select the Report tab, and the window in Fig. 3-7 will

The date and time of analysis can be printed.   
Printing time will always be printed.

wavelength points.    Input Data interval, Start 
wavelength and End wavelength.

3.3  Defining Your Samples  
 
When “Use Sample Table” has been set for the Analysis Method, 
the samples must be defined before measurement.   
 
(1)  Open the monitor window and click the          button.   
 
(2)  When the Sample Table window in Fig. 3-8 appears, fill in 
the blank section.    For instance, if there are five samples, 
click the Insert button five times.

(3)  Input the Sample, Comments and File Name for each 
sample.    The sample...

(4)  When input is finished, check the entries and then click the 
OK button.   
If a sample table is not used, then click the          button.   
The window in Fig. 3-9 will appear.    Make entries for 
Sample and Comment.    For automatic saving, put a check 
mark in the “Auto file saving after measurement” box and 
specify a file name for saving.

3.4    Conducting a Time Scan   
 
(1)  There are two methods of starting the scan.     
 
(a)  Select the Measure command from the 
Spectrophotometer menu.   
 
(b)  Click the     (measurement) button on the 
measurement toolbar.   
 
For halting the measurement midway, click the          button 
on the toolbar.   
 
(2)  Upon clicking the          button, the window shown in   
Fig. 3-10 appears when using a sample table.    Now click
