    							Copying
    Selecting Paper
    Before printing, you need to select the correct paper type setting. This important setting determines how the ink is
    applied to the paper.
    Note:

    With duplex copying, you can create double-sided or single-sided copies from double-sided or single-sided originals.

    to find the menu, setting item, or option you want to enter.

    2>2-Sided Each side of a double-sided original is printed onto one side of a single sheet of paper.

    Make the appropriate settings for Document Orientation, Binding Direction, or Binding Margin.

    Document Orientation Specifies the orientation of your originals. 
    This setting is not available when the following settings have been made.
    2-Sided Copying - 2>2-Sided or 
    2-Sided Copying - 1>1-Sided when Layout is set to With Border
    Binding Direction Specifies the binding direction of your originals. This setting is available only when
    2>1-Sided is selected.
    Binding Margin Specifies the binding direction of your prints. This setting is available only when
    1>2-Sided is selected.

    Press OK to finish making settings.

    Collate Copying
    With the collate copying function, multiple copies of multiple pages in a document are printed in order and collated by
    copy set.
    Follow the instructions below to perform collated copying. Use the l, r, u, or d buttons to change the LCD screen
    view to find the menu, setting item, or option you want to enter.

    Introducing FAX Utility
    FAX Utility is a software capable of transmitting data such as documents, drawings, and tables created using a word
    processing or spreadsheet application directly by fax, without printing. In addition, this utility has a function to save a
    received fax as a PDF file on a computer. This enables you to check the data without printing it and print only the data
    that you want to print. Use the following procedure to run the utility.
    Windows
    Click the start button (Windows 7 and Vista) or click Start (Windows XP), point to All Programs, select Epson
    Software, and then click FAX Utility. (Server OS is not supported.)
    Mac OS X
    Click System Preference, click Print & Fax, and then select FAX (your printer) from Printer. Then, click Open Print
    Queue (Mac OS X 10.5) or Print Queue (Mac OS X 10.4) and click Utility.

    Connecting to a Phone Line
    Using the phone line for fax only
    A
    Connect a phone cable leading from a telephone wall jack to the LINE port.

    Turn on auto answer.

    Caution:
    If you do not connect an external telephone to the product, make sure you turn on auto answer. Otherwise, you cannot
    receive faxes.

    Setting Up Fax Features
    Setting up speed dial entries
    You can create a speed dial list allowing you to select fax  recipient numbers quickly when faxing. Up to 60 combined
    speed dial and group dial entries can be registered.
    Follow the instructions below to create a speed dial list. Use the  l, r , u , or  d buttons to change the LCD screen view to
    find the menu, setting item, or option you want to enter.
    A
    Enter  K Fax  mode.
    B
    Enter the  x Menu .
    C
    Select  Speed Dial Setup .
    D
    Select Create . You see the available speed dial entry numbers.
    E
    Press u or  d to select the speed dial entry number that you want to register. You can register up to 60 entries.
    F
    Press  OK.
    G
    Use the numeric keypad with other bu ttons on the control panel to enter a phone number. You can enter up to
    64 digits.
    Note for WP-4540/WP-4545:
    To separate phone numbers, enter a space by pressing 
    .
    
    To separate phone numbers, enter a space by pressing  r.
