Answering Intercom Calls An intercom call is a call between two system stations. If a speakerphone, your station will receive intercom calls in one of two ways depending upon system programming. In avoice-firstsetting, a short tone followed by the caller’s voice heard on the speaker. With atone-firstsetting, the telephone rings in a distinctive pattern and the receiving station must take action to answer. Do Not Disturb Condition The Do Not Disturb feature keeps calls from ringing at your station and makes your station appear to be busy to intercom calls.
