4-3 Printing from a Computer Scaling Docu\fents You can enlarge or reduce documents to match the output paper size . There are tw o methods for scaling a document: select the output size of the document to scale it automatically , or specify the scaling value manually. 1 Click [P\fge Setup]. NOTE For instructions on how to display the printer driver screen, see “Printing” or “Configuring the Default Print Settings” in the e-Manual. 2 Select p\fper size of the document you cre\fted in the \fpplic\ftion fr om [P\fge Size]. 3 Select output size of the document from [Output Size]. The document is sca\Iled automatically according to the settings made in [Page Size] and [\futput Size]. 4 If you w\fnt to incre\fse or decre\fse the m\fgnific\f tion m\fnu\flly, select [M\fnu\fl Sc\fling] → specify the sc\fling r\F\ftio for [Sc\fling]. 5 Click [OK]. If you do, printing may not be executed correctly. • The display ma y differ according to the operating sy\Istem, as well as the type and version of the printer driver. 1-sided Printing and 2-sided P\Rrinting You can select whether to print on one side or \foth sides of each sheet of paper. If the machine you are using supports 2-sided prin ting, the default setting is 2-sided prin ting. IMPORT\bNT Precautions on 2-sided\R printing • Do not touch your document when \Imaking 2-sided printing until the process is complete. After printing on the front side is complete, the document is \Ipartially output, reserved, and fed into the machine agai\In for printing on the back \Iside. • Be sure t o close the sub-output tray before making 2-sided printing. Printing to the back side of\R printed docu\fent (Manual 2-sided prin\Rting) 2-sided printing can be performed manually using \Ia printed document. Place a printed document in the multi-purpose tray to print on the back sid\Ie*. To print on the back sid\Ie of a printed document, smoot\Ih out the curling edges of the s\Iheets and place the\Im one by one in the multi-purpose tray. * This featur e is supported only for sheets printed from this machine. You cannot make a print on the printed side again. 1 According to the p\fper size for 2-sided printing, ensure t o set the p\fper size switch lever \fccur\ftely. * If not securely attached, documents may not be fed properly, or jammed. 5-2 Registering Destinations in the Address Book Specify a destination \fy manually entering characters/ num\fers using the numeric keys or selecting from the address \fook to fax a document . You can reg ister frequen tly used destinations in one-t ouch keys and coded dial codes . You can also sav e one-t ouch keys and coded dial codes as a group . You can reg ister destinations from the opera tion panel or Remote \bI. One-touch keys You can register up to 19 destinations in one-touch keys. Once the destinations hav e \feen reg istered, you can press the appropria te one-t ouch key to select the destination. “Registering and Editing One-Touch Keys” (→ P. 5-3) Coded dial You can register up to 181 destinations in coded dial codes. Once the destinations hav e \feen reg istered, you can press the appropria te coded dial code to select the destination. “Registering and Editing Coded Dial Codes” (→ P. 5-6) Group dialing You can specify up to 199 registered destinations as a group address in one-t ouch keys and coded dial codes . Group addresses need to \fe reg istered in unused one-t ouch keys or coded dial codes .
