(A) 9 Put the document feeder tr\fy b\fck into pl\fce. 10 Close inner cover. 11 Close the feeder cover. 12 Open the feeder or the pl\ften gl\fss cover \fnd remo ve the document by pulling it gently. 13 Close the feeder or the pl\ften gl\fss cover gently. 14 Pl\fce document in the feeder.

If paper is jammed \Iin the optional pap\Ier drawer (Drawer 2), also pull out this drawer halfway. 3 Remove the j\fmmed p\fper by pulling it out gently . 4 Set the p\fper dr\fwer. If the optional pape\Ir drawer (Drawer 2) is installed, close the optional paper drawer also. 5 When the following screen \fppe\frs, select using [ ] \fnd press [OK]. The machine is ready to print. Close back cover if it is open. 2 If you \fre using the multi-pu\Frpose tr\fy, close it. 3 Open the front cover while holding down the open button. (A) 4 Remove the toner c\frtridge. Immediately place the toner cartridge into the original protective bag or wrap it with\I a thick cloth. 5 Hold the green t\fbs ( A), \fnd push the tr\fnsport guide forw\frd \fnd down. Do not take your hands off the \Itransport guide until it ha\Is reached the original position in St\Iep 7. 6 Remove the j\fmmed p\fper by pulling it out gently . Remove it as horizontally as possible s\Io that loose toner does not spill out. 7 Slowly move the tr\fnsport guide to its origin\fl position. 8 Hold the p\frt where the g reen se\fl is \ftt\fched \fnd open the roller cover. 9 Remove the document by pulling it gently. 10 Put the roller cover b\fck in pl\fce gently. 11 Insert the toner c\frtridge. Fit (A) on both sides of\I the toner cartridge into the guides located on both sides of th\Ie machine and slide\I the toner cartridge into the machine until the t\Ioner cartridge comes to rest and is held aga\Iinst the back of the mac\Ihine. (A) (A) 12 Close the front cover.

(A) 4 Remove the j\fmmed p\fper by pulling it out gently . 5 Holding the green t\fbs , close the 2-sided tr\fnsport guide securely. Make sure that both ends of\I the paper exit gu\Iide are closed. 6 Set the p\fper dr\fwer. 7 When the following screen \fppe\frs, select using [ ] \fnd press [OK]. The machine is ready to print. Action Remove the jammed document . #003 Pro\flem The machine is taking consider a\fle time to send high-v olume data. A ction 1 R educe the scan resolution and try to send the document again. Ac tion 2 R educe the scan resolution or ask the sender to split the document int o smaller su\fsets and send one su\fset at a time. #005 P ro\flem 1 T he rec eiving fax machine did not respond within 35 seconds . Action Repeat the sending proc edure from the \feginning . Additionally , ask the recipien t to check the fax machine. When making an ov erseas call, add a pause to the fax num\fer. P ro\flem 2 T he rec eiving fax machine may not \fe a G3 fax machine. A ction Make sure the rec eiving fax machine is a G3 fax machine. If it is a G3 fax machine, send the document again. Other wise, switch to the communica tion mode support ed \fy the rec eiving fax machine and send the document again. #012 Pr o\flem The rec eiving fax machine is out of paper. A ction Make sure that there is enough paper loaded in the rec eiving fax machine's paper tra y. #018 Pro\flem 1 No response is o\ftained aft er redialing the num\fer. The line may \fe \fusy or disconnec ted. Action Wait a few seconds \fefor e trying to dial the num\fer again. Make sure that the rec eiving fax machine is ready to rec eive a document if you still cannot send a fax. Wait a few more seconds \fefor e trying to dial the num\fer again if the line is still \fusy. Pr o\flem 2 Y ou cannot send a fax \fecause the line is \fusy or disconnec ted. Action Make sure that the rec eiving fax machine is ready to rec eive a document and try to dial the num\fer again. Pr o\flem 3 T he settings configur ed on the rec eiving fax machine may not \fe the same with your fax machine. A ction Make sure that the rec eiving fax machine is ready to rec eive a document and try to dial the num\fer again. Pr o\flem 4 No pause was added to the fax num\fer when sending a fax ov erseas. Action Add a pause aft er the coun try code or in fron t of the fax num\fer and dial the num\fer again. When sending a fax to a destination reg istered in a one-t ouch key, switch to the ov erseas transmission mode on the detailed setup screen. Onscreen Message Error Codes

Action Register an a\f\frevia tion of the sender's name as well as the sender's fax num\fer. P ro\flem 2 The destination num\fer is more than 40 digits long when sending a fax from a comput er or importing from the address \fook. Ac tion Reduce the num\fer of digits to less than 40. #099 Pr o\flem A jo\f curr ently \feing proc essed has \feen canceled manually. A ction Try to send or rec eive the document again. #408 Pr o\flem 1 T he memory media was disconnec ted while it was \feing writt en to , and writing failed. A ction Check to see if the memory media was disconnec ted, and try writing again. Pr o\flem 2 A n err or occurs when transf erring images to memory media, and images cannot \fe transf erred normally . Action Check the memory media status , and then repea t the opera tion. Pro\flem 3 T he connec ted memory media is for matted with an unsupport ed file syst em. Action Make sure that the memory media is for matted with a file syst em that is support ed \fy the machine (FA T16 or FA T32). #701 Pro\flem 1 F ailed the authentica tion of ID or PIN in the Depar tmental ID Managemen t.
