Setting Text Print to Yes, will ensure all data will be printed as it is received and any control codes 
embedded within the document will be ignored. For most printing environments, we recommend that you 
set this option to Yes.

Maintenance Mode
Use this mode to reset the non-volatile (NV) memory or to adjust paper quality settings. You can use this 
mode to restrict access to certain menus.
Init NVM
Resets the printers NV memory. This resets all of the printer’s settings back to its factory settings, or 
default settings. 
The NV memory stores the printer’s configuration data, even when the printer is switched off.
You cannot change this setting while the printer is processing print data.

Parallel
Use Parallel to configure the parallel interface.
ECP
Use ECP to configure the ECP communication mode of the parallel interface.
■Enabled (default) 
The printer receives data in ECP mode.
■Disabled 
The printer does not receive data in ECP mode.
Adobe Protocol
To set the Adobe Protocol choose one of the following:
■Auto
■Standard
■BCP

Report/List
Use Report/List to print reports and lists.
Reports and lists are printed on A4 or Letter paper. (The requested paper size depends on your 
country.) Put A4 or Letter paper lengthwise into the paper tray.

Use Network to make or change network settings. 
■You cannot change the Network setting while the printer is processing print data.
■You must restart the printer for settings to take effect. After programming settings, be sure to 
restart the printer.

Use Ethernet to set Ethernet communication speed and mode.
