GlossaryF ADF (automatic document feeder) The document can be placed in the ADF and scanned one page at a time automatically. Beeper Volume Volume setting for the beep when you press a key or make an error. Cancel Job Cancels a print job and clears the printer memory. Contrast Setting to compensate for dark or light documents, by making copies of dark documents lighter and light documents darker. Gray scale The shades of gray available for copying photographs. LCD (liquid crystal display) The display screen on the machine that shows interactive messages during On- Screen Programming. Menu mode Programming mode for changing your machine’s settings.
