The current warp settings can be sent to the device for preview and to see if they match the real situation. Adjustments are still possible when in preview mode. Start up a preview via the menu 1. Use the recovery menu item to recover the board. 12.7.17 Re-size and centering for cylindrical warping What can be done ? The cylindrical preview can be re-sized and centered on the projected image. Due to sending a warping configuration with errors via the fast preview to the warping board of a device, it is possible that the warping board crashes. The recovery operation starts by clearing the sent configu- ration and by sending a normal hatch pattern. Then the warping board is restarted. How to recover 1. Right click on the grid. (image 12-50) The context menu opens. 2. SelectFast Previewand move the mouse pointer to the right. 3. SelectRecover from Warp board crash. The background of the grid can be changed between: • an embedded image •black •white • a custom selected color How to make the selection 1. Right click on the grid. The current active background is indicated with a checked check box. If you selectBackground color – custom, follow the color selection procedure as described in Color selection, page 213. Image 12-51 Background selection grid 12.7.19.2 Active node intersection What can be done ? The active node intersection is the line which connects two active nodes. This line can be disabled or enabled and when enabled, the color can be the default color (blue) or a custom selected color. How to make the selection 1. Right click on the grid. (image 12-52) The context menu opens. 2. SelectPreferencesand move the mouse pointer to the right. 3. SelectActive Node Intersectionsand move the mouse pointer again to the right. 4. To disable the active node intersection, selectDisable Active Node Intersections. To use the default color, selectActive Node Intersection color - Default. This line can be disabled or en- abled and when enabled, the color can be the default color (green) or a custom selected color. How to make the selection 1. Right click on the grid. (image 12-53) The context menu opens. 2. SelectPreferencesand move the mouse pointer to the right. 3. SelectInterpolation Node Intersectionsand move the mouse pointer again to the right. 4. To disable the interpolation node intersection, select Disable Interpolation Node Intersections. To use the default color, select Interpolation Node Intersection color - Default. To use a custom color, select Interpolation Node Intersection color - Custom. See Color selection, page 213 for more information about how to select a color. 12. Warping 12.7.19.4 Hard edges What can be done ? The color of the hard edges, in disabled or enabled state can be selected. How to select the color 1. Right click on the grid. (image 12-54) The context menu opens. 2. SelectPreferencesand move the mouse pointer to the right. 3. SelectHard Edgesand move the mouse pointer again to the right. 4. To set the color for an Active hard edge: for the default color, selectActive HardEdgecolor - Default for a custom color, selectActive HardEdgecolor - Custom. To set the color for an Inactive hard edge: for the default color, selectInactive HardEdgecolor - Default for a custom color, selectInactive HardEdgecolor - Custom. Select the desired color (via swatches = predefined color samples). (image 12-55) Thefirst selected color will be indicated inRecent. When others are selected for a preview, the color indication will also be added in theRecentlist asfirst one. Finally, the color selection can be done from theRecentlist or out of the color pallet. 12. Warping 3. Click on theHSBtab to display the color pallet (HSB = Hue - Saturation - Brightness). (image 12-56) A color can be selected in 2 ways: - Slide the slider next to the color gamut until the wanted color in the color pickfield is reached, orfill out the HSB value until the desired color is reached in the pick upfield. - Click in the colorfield to display the white circle. Drag that circle to the desired tint of the chosen color. A preview will be given in the preview pane. Continue with step 5. 4. Click onRGBtab to display the RGB selection sliders. (image 12-57) Move the sliders until the desired color is reached, orfill out the RGB values in the input boxes. A preview will be given in the preview pane. Continue with step 5. 5.
