Multiple Account Mode Xerox WorkCentre 5016/5020 User Guide 71 Changing the Password To change a password that has been set for a user account, you must first log in to the machine under the System Administrator’s account, and then enter the System Setting Mode. The following procedure describes how to change the password using the System Administrator’s account. 1.When the machine is in the Multiple Account Mode, [Id] appears blinking in the Display. Enter the System Administrator’s account number “0” using the numeric keypad. [0] appears in the Display. 2.Press the button to confirm the entered account number. 3.Enter the System Administrator’s password using the numeric keypad. Note • The default System Administrator’s password is 111. For security reasons, as you enter each digit of the password, a hyphen appears in the Display instead of the actual number that you enter. If the entered password is correct, the machine enters the Copy Mode, and [1] appears in the Display. 5.Hold down the button for four seconds. The machine enters the System Setting Mode. The letter [P] appears blinking in the Display. 6.Enter the menu number using the numeric keypad. The following procedure describes how to set a copy job limit on a particualr user account using the System Administrator’s account. 1.When the machine is in the Multiple Account Mode, [Id] appears blinking in the Display. Enter the System Administrator’s account number “0” using the numeric keypad. [0] appears in the Display. 2.Press the button to confirm the entered account number. 3.Enter the System Administrator’s password using the numeric keypad. The letter [P] appears blinking in the Display. Note • If an incorrect value is specified in step 8, [0] appears in the Display instead of the letter [P]. 10.Press the button. For information on how to log in to the machine, refer to Logging in to the Machine (P.69) under Multiple Account Mode (P.69). 2.Hold down the button, and while holding down the button, press button. • If you have logged in under the System Administrator’s account An account number, copy job limit set for the account, and the current number of copies made under the account appear sequentially in the Display starting from the account number 1 to 10. • If you have logged in under any account other than the System Administrator’s An account number that has been used to log in, the copy job limit set for the account, and the current number of copies made under the account, appear sequentially in the Display. If the displayed value has more than three digits The following describes how a numerical value, which has more than three digits, appears in the Display. 1.First two digits of the value appears in the Display. 2.Press the button to display the rest. The second half of the numerical value appears in the Display. The value shown in this example is “21100”. button button button

Important • You must install the print driver in advance. For information on how to install the print driver, refer to Installing the Print Driver and the Scan Driver (TWAIN driver) (P.34). Setting Up the Printer This section describes how to set up the printer preferences and how to specify the custom paper size. Setting the Printer Preferences The following procedure describes how to specify the printer preferences. 1.Select [Start] at the bottom of the screen, then select [Printers and Faxes]. The [Printers and Faxes] dialog box appears. 2.Right-click on the [Xerox WorkCentre 5016], [Xerox WorkCentre 5020/B], or [Xerox WorkCentre 5020/DB] printer, and select [Properties] from the displayed pop-up menu. Note • Because this procedure to open the [Properties] dialog box uses Windows XP as an example, you may have to open the [Properties] dialog box in different ways, depending on the operating system in use. Refer to a guide provided with the operating system for more information. The [Properties] dialog box appears. 3.Click [Printing Preferences].

The [Printing Preferences] dialog box closes. 6.Click [OK] on the [Properties] dialog box. The [Properties] dialog box closes. Specifying the Custom Paper Size When using non-standard sized paper for any print job, you must first specify its size in the print driver. The following procedure describes how to specify the non-standard custom paper size in the print driver. Important • You must use the Bypass Tray to load non-standard sized paper. 1.Select [Start] at the bottom of the screen, then select [Printers and Faxes]. The [Printers and Faxes] dialog box appears. 2.Right-click the [Xerox WorkCentre 5016], [Xerox WorkCentre 5020/B], or [Xerox WorkCentre 5020/DB] printer, and select [Properties] from the displayed pop-up menu. The [Properties] dialog box appears.

The [Custom Paper Size] dialog box closes. 6.Click [OK] on the [Properties] dialog box. The [Properties] dialog box closes. Printing Procedure The following procedure describes how to run a print job. Important • The printing procedure varies depending on the application in use. For details, refer to the respective manuals provided with the application. • For more information on the print driver, refer to Help in the print driver. 1.Select [Print] from the menu on the application. 2.Select the machine name in [Name], and click [Properties].
