Set up this menu when you want to improve print quality by adjusting the set print mode. Note: •The menus for the 8264E and 8254E are only slightly different. Both are provided. If obvious white lines or uneven print density appear on printed media while set at "None 1," set to "None 2." None 2 Wave 1The printing joint will be the wave form. It should result in improved print quality. If obvious white lines or uneven print density appear on printed media while set at "Wave 1," change the setting to "Wave 2, 3, or 4" ... whichever one produces the best result. Wave 2 Fuz z 1The printing joint will shade off as the wave form. If obvious white lines or uneven print density appear on printed media in "Wave," set to "Fuzz 1." If obvious white lines or uneven print density appear on printed media in "Fuzz 1", set to "Fuzz 2." Fuz z2 Fine&Wave 1Performs printing at a slower speed than "Wave." Since only half of the print head’s nozzles are used, the time to print is twice as long as it is when "Wave 1, 2, 3, or 4" is used. Set up this menu if you need to improve the print quality compared with "Fine&Wave 1 to 4." B-S.Fine&WaveSame as immediately above. Performs "Wave" printing using only half of the print head’s nozzles but uses the other side nozzles (designated as the B side). Flushing Return Count menu This menu allows you to set how often the print head returns to the original flushing box when setting the On Media option in the Flushing menu. This "how often" is called the Flushing Return Count. You can access this sub-menu by pressing the [Enter] key while you have "On Media" displayed in the control panel. Note: •Increasing the flushing return count (which means longer times between flushings) may result in clogging while continuously printing. Setup itemSettingDescription FlushingOriginDirects the flushing operation to return to the original flushing box every time the print head goes and returns. •Pressing the [Enter] key saves the setting and shifts to the previous menu. Notes: •When selecting "On Media" as the setting in the Flushing menu, the value of the Side Margin menu is disabled and the margin on which the flushing operation will be performed is set automatically. Flushing Menu •8264E only - When using the media holder plates, set the side margin setting to 10mm. 8264E only - Installing Media Holder Plates Media Initial Menu Allows you to set up whether the printer will automatically detect the width and front edge of the media when initializing the media. Note: •Set the media width that is set in the Media Width menu when setting "Off" in the Media detection menu.
