ATTENTION :
Mettre tous les éléments du système hors tension avant
d’effectuer les différents raccordements.
Lire attentivement les instructions fournies pour chacun des
éléments que vous comptez utiliser avec cet appareil.
Veillez à bien brancher chaque prise en l’enfonçant
complètement. Pour éviter les bruits et bourdonnements, éviter
de regrouper les câbles d’interconnexion avec le cordon
d’alimentation CA ou avec les câbles des haut-parleurs.
Raccordement à un téléviseur 
Il est possible de raccorder le MC-DV250 à votre téléviseur ou à
un moniteur. 
Vérifiez avant tout si votre téléviseur ou écran de contrôle a une
prise de COMPONENT VIDEO IN. Si c’est le cas, utilisez-la pour
avoir la meilleure image possible.
PRISE COMPONENT VIDEO
Si votre téléviseur ou votre écran de contrôle a une prise de
COMPONENT VIDEO IN compatible avec une lecture au
scanneur progressive, branchez-les avec un câble composant
vidéo de qualité et passez au mode de lecture au scanneur
progressive en pressant la touche I/P sur la télécommande.
(L’indicateur PROGRESSIVE s’allume.) Si votre TV ou écran de
contrôle n’est pas compatible avec une lecture au scanneur
progressive, ne branchez pas avec les prises composant
vidéo.
Connecteur AV (SCART)
Si votre TV ou écran de contrôle est compatible avec un
SCART RGB, vous devez utiliser cette connexion pour avoir
une bonne qualité d’image.
Branchez le composant avec un câble SCART de RGB prêt de
21 broches, et sélectionnez “RGB” dans le menu SETUP
(configuration) (voir page 75).

Si votre TV ou écran de contrôle a une prise SCART qui n’est
pas compatible avec un RGB, branchez le composant avec un
câble SCART, et sélectionnez “CVBS” dans le menu de
SETUP.

Les signaux audio et vidéo sont transmis via ce connecteur. 
Prises S-VIDEO ou VIDEO 
La connexion S-VIDEO est votre troisième option et elle est
supérieure à la connexion composant vidéo normale.
Si l’appareil est équipé d’une prise S-VIDEO, raccordez-le
avec un câble S-VIDEO. 
S-VIDEO OUT (MC-DV250) qS-VIDEO IN (TV)
Si aucun branchement composant, SCART ou S-VIDÉO n’est
disponible, connectez le composant avec un câble RCA de
très bonne qualité prévu pour du matériel vidéo.

PRECAUCIÓN:

Inserte correctamente los conectores. Para evitar ruido y
zumbidos, no mezcle los cables de señal con los de alimentación
y altavoces en el mismo mazo. 
Conexión a un TV 
Hay varias formas de conectar el MC-DV250 al televisor o
monitor. 
Primero compruebe si su televisor o monitor tiene una toma de
entrada para componente de video. Si es así, utilícelo para
obtener la mejor imagen posible.
TOMA PARA COMPONENT VIDEO
Si su televisor o monitor tiene una toma COMPONENT VIDEO
IN, que es compatible con una búsqueda progresiva,
conéctelo con un cable de componente de video de calidad y
pase al modo de búsqueda progresiva pulsando el botón I/P
en el mando a distancia. (El indicador PROGRESSIVE se
ilumina.)
Si su televisor o monitor no es compatible con una búsqueda
progresiva, no lo conecte a través de las tomas del
componente de video.
Conector AV (SCART)
Si su televisor o monitor es compatible con RGB SCART,
debe utilizar esta conexión par obtener una buena calidad de
imagen.
Conecte el componente con un cable SCART de 21 pins listo
para RGB y seleccione RGB en el menú SETUP (véase la
página 75).

Si su televisor o monitor tiene una toma SCART que no es
compatible con RGB, conecte el componente con un cable
SCART y seleccione “CVBS” en el menú SETUP.

Las señales de audio y vídeo se transmiten por este terminal. 
Conectores S-VIDEO y VIDEO
La conexión S-VIDEO es la tercera opción, mejor que la de
vídeo compuesto estándar.
Si el componente tiene una toma S-VIDEO, conéctelo
mediante un cable S-Video.

Si no dispone de los componentes, SCART o S-VIDEO,
conecte el componente con un cable RCA de alta calidad,

AC Power Cord
When all connections have been made, plug the AC power
cord into an AC wall socket.
Cooling fan
The fan turns on only when temperature inside the unit
becomes high. Do not touch the fan when it is hot. 
The fan emits audible noise when turning.

HBefore Going On
Once a connection with the TV or monitor has been made,
you need to set the following settings. Otherwise, distorted
images or no picture at all would appear on the TV screen. 
COLOUR SYSTEM
You have to select the colour system to match your TV.
When all the connections have been made, turn the DVD
player and the connected TV on.
If your TV is NTSC, press the PAL/NTSC button repeatedly
until NTSC appears on the TV screen.
The default setting is PAL.
PAL: 
Select PAL when a PAL TV (European standard) is connected.
NTSC: 
Select NTSC when an NTSC TV is connected.

Cordon d’alimentation CA
Une fois ces différents branchements terminés, brancher le
cordon d’alimentation CA sur la prise murale de
l’alimentation secteur.
Ventilateur
Le ventilateur se met en marche seulement lorsque la
température de l’appareil devient élevée. 
Ne touchez pas l’appareil quand il est chaud. Le ventilateur
émet un bruit perceptible lorsqu’il tourne.
Avant de continuer
Après avoir raccordé le téléviseur ou le moniteur, vous devrez
effectuer les réglages suivants. Sinon, l’image sera déformée
ou aucune image n’apparaîtra sur l’écran de télévision. 
SYSTEME COULEUR
Sélectionnez le système couleur correspondant à votre
téléviseur.
Une fois toutes les connexions réalisées, mettre le lecteur de
DVD et le téléviseur sous tension.
Si votre téléviseur est de type NTSC, appuyez sur la touche
PAL/NTSC plusieurs fois de suite jusqu’à ce que l’indication
NTSC apparaisse à l’écran.
Par défaut l’appareil est réglé sur PAL.
PAL : 
Sélectionnez l’option PAL si votre téléviseur utilise le système
PAL (norme européenne).
NTSC : 
Sélectionnez l’option NTSC si votre téléviseur utilise le
système NTSC.

HCable de alimentación (c.a.)
Una vez realizadas todas las conexiones, conecte el cable de
alimentación a una toma mural (corriente alterna).
Ventilador de refrigeración
El ventilador solamente se enciende cuando la temperatura
interna de la unidad se eleva. No toque la unidad cuando
está caliente. 
El ventilador emite un sonido que puede percibirse cuando
está en funcionamiento.
Antes de continuar
Una vez realizada una conexión al televisor o monitor,
deberá establecer las configuraciones siguientes. De lo
contrario, en la pantalla del televisor aparecerán imágenes
distorsionadas o no aparecerá ninguna imagen. 
COLOUR SYSTEM (sistema de colour)
El sistema de colour deberá coincidir con el del televisor.
Después de realizar todas las conexiones, encienda el
reproductor DVD y el televisor.
Si el TV es NTSC, pulse el botón PAL/NTSC varias veces hasta
que NTSC aparezca en la pantalla del TV.
El ajuste predeterminado es PAL.
PAL: 
Seleccione PAL si el televisor conectado es PAL (estándar
europeo).
NTSC: 
Seleccione NTSC se el televisor conectado es NTSC.

PHONES
For private listening, insert the headphones plug into this jack,
and adjust the volume by pressing the VOLUME buttons.

Subwoofer
POWER switch
Press this switch to turn the unit on or off (standby).
Noise may be generated when the unit is turned on or off.
STANDBY indicator
When the subwoofer is on, the indicator turns blue.
When the subwoofer is standby mode, the indicator turns
orange (power standby mode).
VOLUME knob
The volume can be adjusted by turning the knob.
Take care of the total balance between the volume of
subwoofer and front speakers.
CROSSOVER knob
Rotate this knob to adjust the cross over frequency.
Normally set to 150 Hz.
SIGNAL switch
Set this switch to the appropriate mode.
OFF:  Switch to this mode to keep the unit standby.
Set the POWER switch in the off position before
operating this switch.
AUTO: The unit turns into the standby mode when no audio
signal is detected, and the unit turns on automatically
when audio signal comes into the unit.
ON:  Switch to this mode to keep the unit turned on.
PHASE switch
Switch to the appropriate phase of the subwoofer.
Select either 0 or 180 to achieve the most seamless
integration of energy with front speakers.
AC Power cord
When all connections have been made, plug the AC power
cord into an AC wall socket.

Use this button to display the Search Menu on the TV screen.

Use these buttons to key in track numbers, passwords, etc.
STEP button ( JG)
Used for single stepping playback.
SLOW button ( )
Use this button for slow-motion playback.
SCAN/TUNING buttons (m/,)
In DVD mode, these buttons are used for fast forward and fast
reverse. 
In FM/AM mode, use these buttons to tune in a station.
SKIP/PRESET buttons (.//) 
In DVD mode, use these buttons to skip chapters or tracks.
During PBC playback of a VCD, these buttons are used to
advance the menu page.
In FM/AM mode, use these buttons to select a preset station.
REPEAT button 
Use this button to select repeat modes.
A-B button 
Use this button to specify a section and play it repeatedly. 
SETUP button 
Use this button to access the SETUP menu.
PAL/NTSC button
Use this button to select PAL, NTSC or MULTI, to match your
TV standard. 
TIME ADJ button
Use this button to adjust clock.
SLEEP button (TIMER)
Use this button to turn on or off the timer function.
STANDBY/ON button  ( )
Use this button to turn the unit on and off (standby).
MENU/RETURN button ( ) 
Use this button to display a menu. 
Use this button to return to the previously displayed menu
screen.

LISTENING button
Use this button to select a listening mode.
AUDIO button (L/R)
Use this button to select the desired language for audio
playback.
SUBTITLE button
Use this button to select subtitles.
ANGLE button
Use this button to change camera angles.
PBC button
When a VCD (version 2.0) is loaded, use this button to turn
the PBC function on or off.
During PBC playback, use this button to display a menu.
CLEAR button
Used for clearing selection, etc.
ZOOM button
Use this button to enlarge the video image.
PROGRAM button
This button is used to program the tracks on a CD for
playback in the desired order.
If you press the PROGRAM button during playback of MP3,
the list mode changes
as follows:
Folder list mode:
The structure of folders and files are displayed.
File list mode:
All the files on the disc are displayed at once, ignoring
folders.
PLAY/PAUSE button (G/J)
Use this button to start or pause playback. 
STOP button (H)
Use this button to stop playback. 
RANDOM button
Used for shuffle playback.
VOLUME buttons (+/–)
Use these buttons to adjust the master volume.
MUTING button 
Use this button to mute the sound.
I/P button 
Use this button to switch the Interlace scan and Progressive
scan.

Remote Control Unit 
Remove the battery compartment cover.
Insert two “AAA” (R03, UM-4) dry batteries. Make sure that
the batteries are inserted with their positive “+
” and negative
“_
” poles positioned correctly.
Close the cover.
Battery Replacement
If the distance required between the remote control unit and
main unit decreases, the batteries are exhausted. In this case
replace the batteries with new ones.
Precautions concerning batteries
<
Be sure to insert the batteries with correct positive “+” and
negative “_
” polarities.
<
Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of
batteries together.
<
Rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries can be used.
Refer to the precautions on their labels.
<
When the remote control unit is not to be used for a long
time (more than a month), remove the batteries from the
remote control unit to prevent them from leaking. If they leak,
wipe away the liquid inside the battery compartment and
replace the batteries with new ones.
<
Do not heat or disassemble batteries and never dispose of old
batteries by throwing them in a fire.

The provided Remote Control Unit allows the unit to be operated
from a distance. 
When operating the remote control unit, point it towards the
remote sensor on the front panel of the unit.

Even if the remote control unit is operated within the effective
range, remote control operation may be impossible if there
are any obstacles between the unit and the remote control.
<
If the remote control unit is operated near other products
which generate infrared rays, or if other remote control
devices using infrared rays are used near the unit, it may
operate incorrectly. Conversely, the other products may
operate incorrectly.

Haut-parleur de basses
Interrupteur d’ALIMENTATION (POWER)
Pressez cet interrupteur pour brancher et débrancher l’appareil (veille).
L’appareil peut faire du bruit lorsqu’on l’allume ou que l’on
l’éteint.  
Indicateur de STANDBY
Quand le haut-parleur de basses est branché, l’indicateur
devient bleu.
Quand le haut-parleur de basses (subwoofer) est en veille,
l’indicateur devient orange (mode veille).
Bouton de VOLUME
Le volume peut être réglé en tournant le bouton.
Prenez garde à la balance totale entre le volume du haut-
parleur de basses et les haut-parleurs avant.
Le bouton en CROIX
Tournez ce bouton pour régler la fréquence. Normalement la
fréquence est de 150 Hz.
Interrupteur de SIGNAL
Réglez cet interrupteur au mode approprié.
OFF:  Utilisez ce mode pour garder l’appareil en veille. 
Mettez l’interrupteur de POWER en position éteinte
avant d’utiliser cet interrupteur.
AUTO: L’appareil s’allume sur le mode de veille quand aucun
signal audio est détecté, et l’appareil s’allume
automatiquement quand le signal audio arrive dans
l’appareil.
ON:  Passez à ce mode pour garder l’appareil branché.
Interrupteur de PHASE
Passez à la phase appropriée du haut-parleur de basses.
Sélectionnez soit 0 ou 180 pour atteindre la plus progressive
intégration d’énergie avec les haut-parleurs avant.
Cordon d’alimentation CA
Une fois ces différents branchements terminés, brancher le cordon
d’alimentation CA sur la prise murale de l’alimentation secteur.
