Disp lay the hard ware in the SREPN b y typ ing display circuit-packs (the port network number of the SREPN) and pressing En t e r. NOTE: The p ort network numb ers d iffer b etween the Release 7r and the SRP. On the Release 7r manag ement terminal, the p ort network that you may b e d isp laying is 5; whereas, on the SRP management terminal, the p ort network that you are ad d ing c irc uit p ac ks to is always 2. 3. On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e change circuit-packs 2 and p ress En t e r. All the c irc uit p ac ks d isp layed on the Release 7r manag ement terminal that are not Release 7r spec ific (suc h as p ac ket g ateways or DS1CONV) must b e ad d ed to the SRP. Be sure to ad d c irc uit p ac ks to all nec essary c arriers. NOTE: Save often the information you ad d to the SRP manag ement terminal. 4. Press En t e r. Administering the software 1. Set the c ustomer op tions on the SRP to c losely matc h the Release 7r op tions. Identify and add trunk information Ad ministration for eac h of the c irc uit p ac ks in the SREPN need s to be ad d ed to the SRP. For every trunk c irc uit p ac k, the trunk ad ministration must b e ad d ed and for every p ort on every line c irc uit p ac k, the station ad ministration must b e added. 1. On the Release 7r management terminal, typ e list configuration port-network (numb er of the SREPN p ort network) and p ress En t e r. Id entify the slot numbers of the trunk c irc uit p ac ks. 2. For eac h trunk c irc uit p ac k on the Release 7r manag ement terminal, typ e display port (where CCSS01 is the c irc uit p ac k and p ort loc ation of the first p ort on the trunk c irc uit p ac k) and p ress En t e r. The Port Information sc reen ap pears. The Identification: field shows the trunk g roup and memb er information for that p ort. (For example, 98/1 means that this p ort is memb er 1 of trunk g roup 98.) 3. Type display trunk-group (numb er is the trunk g roup memb er) and p ress En t e r. 4. On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e add trunk-group and p ress En t e r.
DEFINITY® Enterprise Communications Server Release 7 Installation and Maintenance for Survivable Remote EPN 555-233-102 Issue 2 June 1999 SREPN Installation 1-20 Administer the Release 7r and SRP 1 5. Ad d all of the trunk group information (d isp layed on the Release 7r manag ement terminal) to the SRP management terminal. NOTE: The p ort network numb ers d iffer b etween the Release 7r and the SRP. On the Release 7r manag ement terminal, the p ort network that you may b e d isp laying is 5; whereas, on the SRP management terminal, the p ort network that you are ad d ing c irc uit p ac ks to is always 2. 6. The Memb er Assig nments sc reen on the Release 7r manag ement terminal ap p ears. Note the numb er of the memb ers in the trunk g roup. Are all the p orts for that trunk c irc uit p ac k memb ers of that trunk? nIf yes, ad d the memb ers, p ress En te r and rep eat step s 2-6 for the next trunk c irc uit p ac k. nIf no, rep eat step 2 for all the p orts on the trunk c irc uit p ac k that are not ac c ounted for in that trunk g roup. (For examp le, if trunk g roup 98 has only 4 memb ers, whic h c orrespond to p orts 1 - 4, return to step 2 and typ e display port and p ress En te r to d etermine the trunk g roup for p ort 5.) Then follow step s 3 and 4 with the new trunk g roup information. NOTE: For more information ab out ad ministering trunks, refer to D EFI N I TY Enterprise Communic ations Server Release 7 Ad ministration and Feature Desc rip tion . 7. Type save translation and press En te r. Identify and add station information 1. On the Release 7r management terminal, typ e list configuration port-network (numb er of the SREPN p ort network) and p ress En t e r. Id entify the slot numbers of the line c irc uit p ac ks. 2. For eac h line c irc uit p ac k on the Release 7r management terminal, typ e display port (where CCSS01 is the c irc uit p ac k and p ort loc ation of the first port on the line c irc uit p ac k) and p ress En t e r. The Port Information sc reen ap pears. The Identification: field shows the typ e of station and its extension for that port. 3. Type display station (extension of the station) and p ress En t e r. NOTE: The d isp lay c ommand d ep end s on the ad ministration of that p ort - display station for stations, display data for d ata terminals, and so forth.

On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e add station (extension is the same station extension as ab ove) and p ress En t e r. 5. Dup lic ate all of the station information d isp layed on the Release 7r manag ement terminal to the SRP manag ement terminal. NOTE: Rememb er to ad d any ad d itional system ad ministration that may b e need ed . For examp le, if the station has a c overag e path, you need to ad minister the c overage p ath. Some of the ad ministration for the station may not work if the SREPN g oes into survive mod e (suc h as coverage paths, abbreviated dial lists, and bridged appearances). 6. Repeat steps 2 - 5 for every port on every line c irc uit pack in the SREPN. NOTE: For more information ab out ad ministering stations, refer to DEFINITY Enterprise Communic ations Server Release 7 Ad ministration and Feature Desc rip tion. 7. Type save translation and press En te r. Identify and add other circuit packs For c irc uit p ac ks other than trunk and line, follow the same guid elines. 1. Disp lay eac h p ort on the c irc uit p ac k and the eq uip ment typ e d isp layed on the p ort information sc reen. 2. Disp lay the eq uip ment on the Release 7r manag ement teminal and ad d the information to the SRP manag ement terminal. 3. Type save translation and press En te r. Administering the system features NOTE: Customer options availab le to the SRP are the same as those availab le on the existing Release 7r. These are ad ministered b y the reg ional CSA. Any d ifferenc es in features from the Release 7r to Release 7si are exp erienc ed in the survivab le mod e. Refer to the Release 7r and Release 7si feature ad ministration d esc rip tions for further d etails. System ad ministration need s to b e ad d ed to the SREPN inc lud ing d ialp lan, system features, system maintenanc e, system sec urity, feature-ac c ess-c od es, and so forth. Administer in the same manner as listed ab ove. 1. Disp lay the information on the Release 7r manag ement terminal. For examp le, typ e display feature-access-codes and p ress En te r.
