    2. Disp lay the hard ware in the SREPN b y typ ing  display circuit-packs 
      (the port network number of the SREPN) and pressing 
    En t e r.
    NOTE:
    The p ort network numb ers d iffer b etween the Release 7r and  the 
    SRP. On the Release 7r manag ement terminal, the p ort network that 
    you may b e d isp laying is 5; whereas, on the SRP management 
    terminal, the p ort network that you are ad d ing  c irc uit p ac ks to is 
    always 2. 
    3. On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e change circuit-packs 2
     and  
    p ress 
    En t e r. All the c irc uit p ac ks d isp layed  on the Release 7r manag ement 
    terminal that are not Release 7r spec ific  (suc h as p ac ket g ateways or 
    DS1CONV) must b e ad d ed  to the SRP. Be sure to ad d  c irc uit p ac ks to all 
    nec essary c arriers.
    NOTE:
    Save often the information you ad d  to the SRP manag ement 
    terminal.
    4. Press

    Administering the software
    1. Set the c ustomer op tions on the SRP to c losely matc h the Release 7r 
    op tions.
    Identify and add trunk information
    Ad ministration for eac h of the c irc uit p ac ks in the SREPN need s to be ad d ed  to 
    the SRP. For every trunk c irc uit p ac k, the trunk ad ministration must b e ad d ed  
    and  for every p ort on every line c irc uit p ac k, the station ad ministration must b e 
    added.
    1. On the Release 7r management terminal, typ e list configuration 
    port-network 
      (numb er of the SREPN p ort network) and  p ress 
    En t e r. Id entify the slot numbers of the trunk c irc uit p ac ks.
    2. For eac h trunk c irc uit p ac k on the Release 7r manag ement terminal, typ e 
    display port
       (where CCSS01 is the c irc uit p ac k and  p ort 
    loc ation of the first p ort on the trunk c irc uit p ac k) and  p ress 
    En t e r. The Port 
    Information sc reen ap pears. The Identification:
     field  shows the 
    trunk g roup  and memb er information for that p ort. (For example, 98/1 
    means that this p ort is memb er 1 of trunk g roup  98.)
    3. Type display trunk-group
       (numb er is the trunk g roup  
    memb er) and  p ress 
    En t e r.
    4. On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e add trunk-group
      and 
    p ress

    5. Ad d  all of the trunk group  information (d isp layed  on the Release 7r 
    manag ement terminal) to the SRP management terminal. 
    NOTE:
    The p ort network numb ers d iffer b etween the Release 7r and  the 
    SRP. On the Release 7r manag ement terminal, the p ort network that 
    you may b e d isp laying is 5; whereas, on the SRP management 
    terminal, the p ort network that you are ad d ing  c irc uit p ac ks to is 
    always 2. 
    6. The Memb er Assig nments sc reen on the Release 7r manag ement terminal 
    ap p ears. Note the numb er of the memb ers in the trunk g roup. 
    Are all the p orts for that trunk c irc uit p ac k memb ers of that trunk? 
    nIf yes, ad d  the memb ers, p ress En te r and  rep eat step s 2-6 for the 
    next trunk c irc uit p ac k.
    nIf no, rep eat step  2 for all the p orts on the trunk c irc uit p ac k that are 
    not ac c ounted  for in that trunk g roup. (For examp le, if trunk g roup  
    98 has only 4 memb ers, whic h c orrespond  to p orts 1 - 4, return to 
    step  2 and  typ e display port
       and  p ress 
    En te r to 
    d etermine the trunk g roup  for p ort 5.) Then follow step s 3 and  4 with 
    the new trunk g roup  information.
    NOTE:

    7. Type save translation
     and press 
    En te r.
    Identify and add station information
    1. On the Release 7r management terminal, typ e list configuration 
    port-network 
      (numb er of the SREPN p ort network) and  p ress 
    En t e r. Id entify the slot numbers of the line c irc uit p ac ks.
    2. For eac h line c irc uit p ac k on the Release 7r management terminal, typ e 
    display port
       (where CCSS01 is the c irc uit p ac k and  p ort 
    loc ation of the first port on the line c irc uit p ac k) and  p ress 
    En t e r. The Port 
    Information sc reen ap pears. The Identification:
     field shows the typ e 
    of station and its extension for that port.
    3. Type display station
       (extension of the station) and  p ress 
    En t e r.
    NOTE:
    The d isp lay c ommand  d ep end s on the ad ministration of that p ort - 
    display station
     for stations, display data
     for d ata terminals, and  so

    4. On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e add station
      
    (extension is the same station extension as ab ove) and  p ress 
    En t e r. 
    5. Dup lic ate all of the station information d isp layed  on the Release 7r 
    manag ement terminal to the SRP manag ement terminal. 
    NOTE:
    Rememb er to ad d  any ad d itional system ad ministration that may b e 
    need ed . For examp le, if the station has a c overag e path, you need  to 
    ad minister the c overage p ath. Some of the ad ministration for the 
    station may not work if the SREPN g oes into survive mod e (suc h as 
    coverage paths, abbreviated dial lists, and bridged appearances).
    6. Repeat steps 2 - 5 for every port on every line c irc uit pack in the SREPN.
    NOTE:
    For more information ab out ad ministering  stations, refer to DEFINITY 
    Enterprise Communic ations Server Release 7 Ad ministration and  
    Feature Desc rip tion.
    7. Type save translation
     and press En te r.
    Identify and add other circuit packs
    For c irc uit p ac ks other than trunk and  line, follow the same guid elines.
    1. Disp lay eac h p ort on the c irc uit p ac k and  the eq uip ment typ e d isp layed  
    on the p ort information sc reen.
    2. Disp lay the eq uip ment on the Release 7r manag ement teminal and  ad d  
    the information to the SRP manag ement terminal.
    3. Type save translation
     and press 
    En te r.
    Administering the system features
    NOTE:
    Customer options availab le to the SRP are the same as those availab le on 
    the existing  Release 7r. These are ad ministered  b y the reg ional CSA.
    Any d ifferenc es in features from the Release 7r to Release 7si are 
    exp erienc ed  in the survivab le mod e. Refer to the Release 7r and  
    Release 7si feature ad ministration d esc rip tions for further d etails.
    System ad ministration need s to b e ad d ed  to the SREPN inc lud ing  d ialp lan, 
    system features, system maintenanc e, system sec urity, feature-ac c ess-c od es, 
    and  so forth. Administer in the same manner as listed ab ove.
    1. Disp lay the information on the Release 7r manag ement terminal. For 
    examp le, typ e display feature-access-codes
     and  p ress

    To administer the sync  sourc e for the SRP:
    1. On the SRP manag ement terminal, typ e change synchronization
     and  
    p ress 
    En t e r.
    2. Enter a DS1 trunk c irc uit p ac k on the SRP as the primary sync  sourc e.
    3. Press 
    En t e r. 
    NOTE:
    When the system is in the survive mod e, the sync hronization of the 
    SRP c omes from the DS1 trunk c irc uit p ac k. When the system is in 
    the normal mod e, the sync hronization of the SRP reverts b ac k to the 
    tone c loc k and  c auses a sync  alarm in the alarm log s of the SRP.
    4. When all ad ministration is c omp leted  on the SRP, typ e save translation
     
    and  p ress 
    En t e r.
    5. Return the TN2301 switc h to the AUTO p osition.
    Replace Release 7r circuit packs
    If the Release 7r has the TN574 DS1CONV c irc uit p ac k:
    1. Rep lac e the TN574 DS1CONV c irc uit p ac k with the TN1654 DS1CONV 
    circuit pack.
    2. If you have a TN573 SNI c irc uit p ac k, rep lac e it with a TN573B SNI c irc uit 
    pack.
    Replace EPN circuit packs 
    and make cable connections
    1 . Po w e r  d o w n  t h e  EPN .
    2. If this is a p reviously installed  EPN, then remove the DS1CONV to EI c ab le.
    3. Install the TN775C maintenanc e c irc uit p ac k.
    4. Install the TN570C exp ansion interfac e c irc uit p ac k.
    5. Rep lac e the TN574 c irc uit p ac k with the TN1654 DS1CONV c irc uit p ac k.
    6.Dep end ing  on the c ustomer’s c onfig uration, refer to one of the following  
    sec tions:
