PAGING 18.1The Encore System provide several Paging options: •The system allows users to make announcements over the speakers of all Keysets. •Users can make an Intercom Call via the speaker of a Keyset. •External paging equipment (a paging amplifier and speaker) can be connected to any extension connection in the system. SENDING A HOOKFLASH OVER A CO LINE 20.1A hookflash may be required when you are using certain telephone company services on your lines, or if your Encore System is connected to another telephone system (PBX) via one of the line interfaces. 20.2The Hookflash feature allows you to send a timed hookflash over the outside line. If the person trying to contact you has a Keyset, “Do Not Disturb Enabled” will appear on the display. EXTENSION LOCK 24.1This feature allows you to lock your extension to prevent unauthorized users from mak- ing external calls. 24.2You use an Extension Lock password to lock, unlock, or to make calls from a locked extension.
