INTER-TEL PRACTICES SYSTEM PROGRAMMING- 824 INSTALLATION b MAINTENANCE Issue 1, June 1984 . .! (8) CLASS 1 AREA CODE 1= This determines the allowed area codes for Toll Class B. No area codes are preset during initialization. a. Enter a three-digit area code. One or two digits may be entered, allowing any digit to be dialed. For ex- ample entering 9 allows calls to all area codes 900 through 999, or entering 91 allows calls to area codes 910 through 919. 1. If is entered after the area code, the pro- gram selection prompt will appear. 2. If the SHIFT and + keys are pressed at the same time, the next area code number will appear. b. You may continue to enter up to 30 area codes, or press to exit at any time. Name Reqistration (9) 3.15 This program allows you to enter a name into each of the 24 circuit positions that will appear on Display keysets for inter- com calls and messages. To register the names: (1) Enter 9. The terminal will respond: NAME REGISTRATION 1= (2) Enter a name up to six characters long for intercom num- ber 1. a. If is entered after the name, the program selection prompt will appear. b. If the SHIFT and + keys are pressed simultaneously, the next intercom number will appear. (3) You may continue to enter names, or press to exit at any time. Page 4-21

To change the initialized messages: (1) Enter lO. The terminal will respond with a list of the first five current or initialized messages. The first four cannot be changed. (2) To change or review any message 5-20, enter a new message up to 16 characters long. a. If is entered after the message, the program selection prompt will appear. b. If the SHIFT and + keys are pressed the next message number will appear. :C. Press the SHIFT and + if you want to go to the next message without changing the currently-displayed message. : I d. To erase a message without entering a new message, enter a space and or SHIFT +.
