I/O menuItems on the I/O (input/output) menu affect the communication between the product and the computer.
If the product contains an HP Jetdirect print server, you can configure basic networking parameters by
using this submenu. You can also configure these and other parameters through HP Web Jetadmin or
the embedded Web server.

 PROXY SERVER  Specifies the proxy server to be used by
embedded applications in the product. A
proxy server is typically used by network
clients for Internet access. It caches Web
pages, and provides a degree of Internet
security, for those clients.
To specify a proxy server, enter its IPv4
address or fully-qualified domain name. The
name can be up to 255 octets.

host, then waits for an appropriate response.
To run a ping test, set the following items:

The SERVICE menu is PIN-protected for added security. Only authorized service people have access
to the  SERVICE  menu. When you select  SERVICE from the list of menus, the product prompts you to
type an eight-digit PIN number.
