    							13.Pull the ECU down until the mounting  bracket is below the sheet-metal tab.

    14.When the ECU is removed, you must carefully  pass the FFC and wire harness through the holes
    in the chassis.
    CAUTION: Do not bend or fold the flat flexible cables (FFCs) during removal or installation. Also,
    do not straighten pre-folds in the FFCs.

    							15.Carefully slide the ECU out of the product.

    Reinstall the ECU
    1.When you reinstall the ECU, look into the Tray 2  cavity, and make sure that the corners of the ECU
    mounting bracket are engaged with the product chassis.

    							2.Make sure that the ground connector is correctly fastened and fully seated on the connector lug.

    1.Remove the following components:
    ● Right cover. See

    2. Release all of the wire harnesses  from the retainer (callout 1).

    2. Pass the wire harne ss through the opening in the chassis.

    							3.Release the wire harnesses from the guide, and then remove one screw (callout 1).

    							Face-down-drive or duplexing-paper-feed assembly
    The HP LaserJet P2030 Series products have a face-down-drive assembly installed.
    The HP LaserJet P2050 Series products have  a duplexing-paper-feed assembly installed.
    These components appear identical from the outsi de, but they have different internal gears and
    functions. The same procedure is  used to remove either component.
    1. Remove the following components:
    ● Right cover. See

    ● Left cover. See

    ● Rear cover, rear door, and d
    uplex-paper-feed assembly. See

    2. Remove two screws (callout 1), and then release  the wire harnesses from the guide (callout 2).
    NOTE:You might have to disconnect some of the connectors on the sub PCA to gain enough
    slack in the wire harnesses to release them from the guide.
