    Standby Mode Settings
The scanner is designed to save energy by going into Standby mode if it is not
used for a certain period of time. This time period can be set to [After 10 secs]
(factory set default), [After 10 mins], [After 1 hour] or [After 4 hours]. You can
change the Standby mode settings on the maintenance screen of CANON
DR-6030C USB properties, in the same way as the long document mode
    described previously.

    							60Using the Scanner
    MultiStream Function
If the application that you are using supports the MultiStream function, then it
is possible to scan a document one time and simultaneously output two types
of images (Primary image and Secondary image).
CapturePerfect 3.1, provided with the scanner, supports the MultiStream
function so the following settings are possible.
    • You can set the Primary or Secondary image and Front or Back for the Image
Type (mode), Resolution or Drop Out Color.
    • You can change the File Type for the Primary image and the Secondary
image. However, you cannot change Front or Back with File Type.
    Note
When using the MultiStream function with CapturePerfect 3.1, “Skip blank
page”, “Prescan”, “Text Orientation Recognition” and “Batch Separation”
    functions are disabled.
    Auto Power OFF Function
This scanner includes an Auto Power OFF function. When this function is
enabled, the scanner will turn OFF automatically if no operations are
    performed for 4 hours.
Depending on your country or region, the Auto Power OFF function may be
    enabled under factory default conditions.

    Using the Scanner61
    Chapter 2
When changing the Auto Power OFF setting, make the changes from the
[Maintenance] tab in the [CANON DR-6030C USB Properties] window used
for selecting the Long Document mode described earlier.
If the [Turn off automatically after 4 ho urs] check box is selected, the Auto
Power OFF function is enabled and the power turns off automatically after four
hours pass without scanning or other operation.
If the [Turn off automatically after 4 hours] check box is deselected, the Auto
    Power OFF function is disabled.
    Note
    • Under the following circumstances, the Auto Power OFF function does not operate even if the [Turn off automa tically after 4 hours] check box is
    selected.
    - If any document remains in the feeder after scanning
    - If a scanner error occurs
    • When the Auto Power OFF function is enabled, the power cannot be turned
back on again immediately after it has been turned off automatically. Wait at
least 10 minutes after operation of the Auto Power OFF function before
turning the power back on again.
