„Paper Size and Type
Load A4- or letter-size plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder or Cassette when you print the fax.
Step1
Load paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder (See  “Loading the Print Media in the Auto Sheet Feeder” on 
page 27 ).
Load paper in the Cassette (See  “Loading the Print Media in the Cassette” on page 31 ).
z The paper size should be A4, LTR or LGL.
z Load legal-size paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder.

Select the receive mode according to your needs. 
zIf You Want to Receive Only Faxes Automatically with Your Machine, or 
You Have a Dedicated Telephone Line for Fax Use Only:

Receive Faxes Manually:

The machine cannot receive faxes when the power is turned OFF. Press [ON/OFF] to turn the

Printing from Your Computer
This section describes the basic printing procedure, taking the steps to print documents as an 
example.
Printing with Windows

Press [ON/OFF] to tu rn on the machine.
See “Turning on the Machine” on page 18 .
2Load the paper in the machine.
See “Loading Paper” on page 22 .
3Ensure that the proper paper source is selected.

(1)Click [Media Type] to select the type of media loaded in the machine.
(2) Ensure that [Paper Feed Switch] is selected from [Paper Source].
(3) Specify the print quality and other settings in [Print Quality] or [Color/Intensity].
(4) Click [OK].
