Paper Jams6-10 Troubleshooting 6 5Removing the jammed paper. ●If you can see the leading edge of the paper inside the printer ❑ Gently pull the paper up to clear the jam. ❑If the jam is difficult to clear, pull the paper out from the multi-purpose tray or manual feed tray.

Paper Jams6-17 Troubleshooting 6 9Close the top cover. IMPORTANT •If you cannot close the top cover, check that the toner cartridge is installed properly in the printer. If you close the top cover forcefully, the printer may be damaged. •Do not leave the top cover open for a long time after installing the toner cartridge.
Service Call6-18 Troubleshooting 6 Service Call If the printer has some kind of error such that it can no longer function properly, a service call is displayed as follows. IMPORTANT If a fixing unit error appears, do not turn the printer on again after you have turned it off. 2Contact your local authorized Canon dealer.
