• Print Priority Select a print quality mode that is appropriate for the print job. SettingDetailsImageThis mode achieves the best results for printing photographic images and illustrations.Line DrawingThis mode is best for printing CAD drawings with fine lines or wall newssheet or other documentsthat contain large amounts of text. However, you may not achieve the quality you expect withprinting photographs or other images with many filled areas. For these types of jobs, select Im-age.ProofThis is a setting for enhancing the reproducibility of characters, illustrations, and photos with printproofing.However, this takes more time than regular printing.Office DocumentPrints common office documents, such as proposals, memos for distribution, etc., so they areeasy to read. Color Settings Panel Color Settings Panel This panel appears when you select Color Settings in the dialog area. • Color Mode You can select a color mode to suit the print job. SettingDetailsColorEnables color printing.Monochrome (Photo)Prints monochrome photo image data in a gray scale that is free of color casting (phenomenon ofgrays that appear tinted).MonochromeDisables color printing and converts image from continuous color to grayscaled monochrome.No color correctionPrints without performing color matching in the printer driver. Select this when color matching isperformed by the application such as Adobe Photoshop or when you want to print color chartsusing the profile creation tool. Adjusting Monochrome (Photo) Sets monochrome printing for black-and-white photo image data captured with a scanner or digital camera. 1 Select Monochrome (Photo) on Color Mode in the Color Settings panel. 2 Select Gray Adjustment . 3 Click the Color Balance list and select the color settings. SettingDetailsCool BlackAdjusts cool black (blue tones) to gray.Pure Neutral BlackAdjusts to neutral gray.Warm BlackAdjusts warm black (red tones) to gray. Select this if you want toperform soft proofing using ColorSync before printing. Driver Matching Mode Driver Matching Mode 1 Under Matching Mode , select Driver Matching Mode . 2 Click the Matching Method list, and then select a setting. Smooth gradation is a feature.This is also an easy-to-use mode when performing color adjustment using application software.SaturationColor-matching optimized for printing posters, etc., vividly.ColorimetricColor-matching optimized for printing image data with accurate colors in input color space. Thisis the easiest-to-use mode when you want to adjust the color and print. However, gradationmay be lost for colors of wider range than the color reproduction range of the printer. Generally,this is also called relative colorimetric.Perceptual (People, Dark Areas)Color-matching optimized for printing subdued photos such as indoor shots of people or darkscenes.
