596 You can use EOS software to download the images in the camera to a computer. There are two ways to do this. 1Install the software (p.599). 2Use the provided interface cable to connect the camera to the computer. Use the interface cable provided with the camera. When connecting the cable to the camera, use the cable protector (p.38). Connect the cable to the digital terminal with the plug’s < > icon facing the back of the camera. Connect the cord’s plug to the computer’s USB terminal. 3Use EOS Utility to transfer the images. For details, refer to the EOS Utility Instruction Manual (p.600). Downloading Images to a Computer Downloading by Connecting the Camera to the Computer Use the provided interface cable or one from Canon (p.525). When connecting the interface cable, use the provided cable protector (p.38).
597 Downloading Images to a Computer You can use a card reader to download images to a computer. 1Install the software (p.599). 2Insert the card into the card reader. 3Use Digital Photo Professional to download the images. For details, refer to the Digital Photo Professional Instruction Manual (p.600). Downloading Images with a Card Reader When downloading images from the camera to a computer with a card reader without using EOS software, copy the DCIM folder on the card to the computer.
598EOS DIGITAL Solution Disk Various software for EOS DIGITAL cameras is contained on the EOS DIGITAL Solution Disk. (Software Instruction Manuals are not contained on the EOS DIGITAL Solution Disk. See page 600.) With the camera connected to a computer, EOS Utility enables you to transfer still photos and movies shot with the camera to the computer. You can also use this software to set various camera settings and shoot remotely from the computer connected to the camera. This software is recommended for users who shoot RAW images. You can view, edit, and print RAW and JPEG images. * Certain functions differ between the version to be installed on a 64-bit computer and that to be installed on a 32-bit computer. You can edit Picture Styles, and create and save original Picture Style files. This software is aimed at advanced users who are experienced in image processing. Shooting locations can be displayed on a map on a computer screen by using the geotag location information recorded. Note that Internet connection is required to in stall and use Map Utility.
