ApplicationsandfeaturesOrganizingapps Leaveanapporcloseanapp Instead of closing an app when youhre done using it, you can make multitasking easier by minimizing an app. You can see your open apps arranged as Active Frames on the home screen, and you can tap an Active Frame to return the app to full screen. Once you minimize an app, you can close it from the home screen. 1. To minimize an app, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. The app is arranged as an Active Frame on the home screen. 2. To close an app after you minimize it, on the home screen, on an Active Frame, tap . Moveanappiconoropenapparoundthehomescreen You can rearrange the app icons or open apps on the home screen so that they are where you want them to be. For instance, if youhre right-handed, you can arrange your frequently used apps on the right side of the screen. Addfolderstothehomescreen You can organize your app icons by adding folders to the home screen. For example, you can add a folder for all of the games that you download and a folder for all of your business and productivity apps. To hide unused apps, you can add a folder to the home screen and put all of your unused apps in that folder. 1. Touch and hold an app icon until all of the icons start to blink. 2. Drag the app icon on top of another app icon that you want to include in the same folder. 3. Type the name of the folder. 4. Tap Create . Moveanappiconoutofafolder 1. Calendar AbouttheCalendarapp The BlackBerry Calendar app on your BlackBerry device combines the calendar info from the email and social networking accounts that you add to your device. The Calendar app presents the info so that you can view all your meetings, appointments, tasks, alarms, and events in one place. If you subscribe to public calendars, such as movie theater calendars or school calendars, the events from those calendars can also appear in the Calendar app. Even if you donht add any accounts to your device, you can still use the Calendar app to create and manage meetings, appointments, and events. If you added a Microsoft Exchange work account, you can connect to the remote server to add people who arenht in your contact list. When you create or change an event, tap the Participants field. t If the person that you want to add is in your contact list, start typing a name. Tap the name in the list. t If the person that you want to add is in your organization, and you added your work account to your device, type the name. Tap Lookup. Tip: Some accounts might let you view the participantsh availability. After you add the participants to the event, tap the event time. If participants have a schedule conflict, their names appear in red next to the time slider at the top of the screen.
