Open the Printer Setu p Utility. 2. Click Add. 3. Confirm that the first drop-down list is set to Rendezvous for a network connection. 4. Click the printer. 5. Xerox Global Print DriverTM : Use to print to any PCL or PostScript-enabled printer on your network,\ including those made by other manufacturers. Xerox Mobile Express DriverTM : Use to print to any PostScript-enabled printer on your network, includ\ ing those made by other manufacturers. The driver configures itself for the \ printer you select every time you print. Xerox Color 550/560 Printer User Guide 56 Installation and Setu p Using CentreWare Internet Services CentreWare Internet Services provides access to the printer’s embedde\ d Web server. It enables you to easily manage, configure, and monitor the printer using a Web browser on a network comp\ uter. CentreWare Internet Services enables you to: Access printer status, configuration, and security settings. Check supplies status from your computer. Access job accounting records to allocate printing costs and plan suppli\ es purchases. Retrieve scanned document files stored in the printer. Note: Some printer capabilities must be enabled using CentreWare IS. Unless yo\ ur system administrator has unlocked the printer, you will need to log in as an administrator to access these set\ tings. CentreWare Internet Services requires : A Web browser and a TCP/IP connection between the printer and the networ\ k (in Windows,Macintosh, or UNIX environments). JavaScript must be enabled in the Web browser. If JavaScript is disabled\ , a warning message appears and CentreWare Internet Services may not function properly. If you do not know the IP Address, print the Configuration Report. The printer’s IP address appears in the Communi\ cation Settings section. To print the Configuration Report: At the control panel, press the Machine Status button. 1. Touch the Machine Information tab, then touch Print Re ports. 2. Touch Printer Reports , touch Configuration Report , then press the green Start button on the control panel. 3. After the report prints, touch Close. 4. Accessing CentreWare Internet Services Make sure your printer is turned on. 1. At your computer, open a Web browser. 2. Type the IP address of the printer in the Web browser’s address field\ . 3. In your software application, click File, then Print. 3. Select your printer from the list. 4. Access the printer driver settings by selecting Properties or Preferences (Windows), or Xerox Features for Macintosh. The title of the button may vary depending on your applicatio\ n. 5.
