When the feature is activat- ed, the people listening in will hear the other party via the set speaker. The set microphone will remain inactive. NOTES If your extension is programmed with a Preferred line (see Section 3.8 , below), you must press [ICM] before you can dial another extension. If the pre- determined time of the handsfree conversation elapses, you hear a sec- ond tone burst, the call is disconnected, and then you hear dial tone. If the called party lifts the handset during the handsfree answerback conversation, the call is converted into a regular internal call ( CONV re- places HF on the telephone display), and the duration of the call is no longer limited. The code entered is printed out on the Station Mes- sage Detail Recording (SMDR) printer.
