    Lo cal  Number/N ame Translati on Table
    This method is used to enter names that will be associated to 
    the Local  Number/Name  Translation Table only.
    To ente r, edit, or e rase  name s tha t ap pear  in  Dire ctory  List:
    Dial th e D irectory L is t p rogram  code  [693]. T he  HOL D 
    but ton il lum ina te s. T he fi rs t e nt r y (0 00 ) in the  Di r ec t or y 
    Li st  is  sh ow n on t he  di spl ay  phone  (r efe r  to “Di rect or y By 
    List Programming”).
    To select a different entry in the Directory List:
    1. Enter the  three-digit entry number (000-199), or dial [
    6] 
    to scroll up (next entry) through the list, or dial [#] to scroll 
    down (previous entry) through the  list.
    2. Press the TRANS button to select the  entry.
    To ente r a name  with a Local N umber /Na me Translation

    1. Press the TRANS button.

    1. Press the MUTE button.
    2. Use the  keys on  the dial pad to enter  the name  (up to 24-
    char act er s ma y be  e nte re d).  The  di spl ay  updat e s a s t he 
    name is entered  (refer to Figure 1: Dial- By- Name Key Pad 
    Ma p, a nd Table 2: Additional Dial-By-Name Characters).

    Thi s  method  may b e  used  to en te r  name s that wi l l  be 
    associated to a system speed dial bin  only.

    the entry is saved.

    Softwa re Version Display
    The current system software can be viewed  by the first 
    pr ogra mmed  A tt e ndant . T hi s di sp lay  show s t he  ve rs ion 
    number and the level of software in English.
    At the first  Attendant station:
    Dial th e S /W D isp lay  code  [605].
    †The top line of the LCD continues  to  show the same 
    dat a.
    †The  bo t t o m l ine  o f  the  LCD  c hang es  to   sho w  the  
    following in place of  the time/date  information:
    STARPLUS™ BASIC
    STARPLUS™ ACD
    (Station  must have LCD  type to view the information.)
    Speed Dial - System Stori ng
    System Speed  numbers must be entered by  the first 
    pr ogra mmed  A tt e ndant . I f  an A t te ndan t i s  not  spe cif ie d,  ent er  
    at  St at i on 1 00 .
    1. Press the SPEED button once, then press the desired 
    outs id e l i ne k ey,

    Press the SPEED  button  a second  time to  select  an 
    o u ts id e l i ne a u to m ati c al ly.
    2. Dial the System  Speed bin location  (020-999).
    3. Dial the telephone number.
    4. Press the SPEED  button.

    †Initiate a Pulse-To-Tone Switchover -- Press the TRANS 
    button during numbe r entry.
    †Insert a  Pause -- Press  the HOLD  button  during 
    numbe r entry.
    †Ins er t  a  Fl ash  int o t he  Spe ed  Numb er  --  P re ss  th e 
    FLA SH  ke y.
    †Ins er t  a  No-D is pl ay C hara cte r  --  Pre ss  the  T RAN S 
    bu t to n as the  fi r st  en tr y in the  sp ee d bi n. Thi s c a u se s 
    the numbers  stored in the  bin not to display  on the 
    Digital Telephones when the  bin is accessed.

    Call  Bac k
    If you  dial a telephone  number  that  is busy and you  want to 
    le ave  a  Ca ll  B ac k  ind ic at i on:
    1. Pr es s t he  pre-programmed C AL L BA CK fl ex ibl e  but ton.
    2. Repl ace  hand se t  or p re ss  ON /O FF  but ton . Wh en b usy 
    station hangs  up, you are signaled.
    3. Answer the call; the station you  called will then be 
    si gnal ed.  (I f your  s tat i on i s b usy  when  si gnal ed,  an 
    automatic  MSG will be placed at  your  phone.) Only one 
    Call Back request can be left at a station; the second 
    re que st  wil l  l eave  a  mes sag e wa it  ca ll back  re ques t.
    Call  Coverage
    To program  a Call Co verage flexible b utto n on a statio n:
    1. Press the SPEED  button  twice.
    2. Pr es s t he  de si re d fl ex ibl e but ton to be pr ogra mmed.
    3. Di al  [646] f or R ingi ng o r [ 647]  for Non- Ring ing,  fol lowe d 
    by the  ex te nsion num ber to be  cove re d. A conf irmation 
    tone  s ounds.  I f an  er ro r wa s m ade  dur ing  en tr y, an  er r or 
    to ne  s o u nds.

    When a call rings in (and a flexible button ha s been assig ned):
    †The coverage station hears ringing for the  coverage

    †A  message is  displayed on the Coverage Station LCD as 
    shown.
    †The coverage station then presses their  flashing 
    Coverage flexible button, or presses the ON/OFF button, 
    or  lifts the handset if  PLA  is enabled.  The flash rate is the 
    sam e a s the  i ncom ing  li ne  ri ngi ng rate.
    †Whe n t he  call  i s  answe re d, i t  ceas es  t o r ing  at  any  othe r  
    station  that  has  the same coverage appearance. The  LCD 
    of t he  cover age  st at i on di spl ays  as  shown.

    grou p.  A confirmation  tone so unds.
    6. Replace the  handset or press the ON/OFF button.
    To remo ve Follow-Me Call Fo rwarding:
    1. Lift the  ha ndse t or pre ss  the ON/OFF button.
    2. Dial the Follow-Me  Call  Forward code [642].
    3. Dial th e s ta tion num ber of  the s ta tion that f orwa rd ing  is  
    be  cance ll ed.
    4. Dial [6] (rega rdles s o f the  forwarding  condition).
    5. Redial the  same three-digit station nu mber. A 
    confirmation tone  sounds and the  FWD button LED 
    ext i ngui shes .
    To enab le Follow-Me Call Forwardin g fro m an off-site 
    locatio n:
    1. Dial into the system on a DISA trunk. Enter the DISA 
    acces s code, if a pplica ble.
    2. Di al  th e Fol l ow-Me  For war d code  [6 42 ].
    3. Dial th e s ta tion num ber of  the s ta tion f rom  which 
    for war di ng i s d esi re d.

    To remo ve Follow-Me Call Fo rwarding from an  off-site 
    locatio n:
    1. Dial into the system on a DISA trunk. Enter the DISA 
    acces s code, if a pplica ble.
    2. Di al  th e Fol l ow-Me  For war d code  [6 42 ].
    3. Dial th e s ta tion num ber of  the s ta tion that f orwa rd ing  is  
    to be cancelled.
    4. Dial [6] (rega rdles s o f the  forwarding  condition).
    5. Dial th e s ta tion num ber a gain. A conf irmation  ton e 
    sounds . Fi ve  se conds  lat e r a  di al  t one  is  re cei ved.
    Forward Override
    Thi s  fea tur e  al lows  you  to  re ach a  bus y st at i on t hat  i s bu sy 
    for war ded to a d est i nat ion.  Th is al lows  you to Camp -O n, 
    Exe cuti ve  O ver r ide , or  L eav e  Me ss ages  at  t he  bus y s tat i on 
    ra the r  th an fo r war di ng t o  t he  bu s y de st ina ti o n.

    1. Press the ON/OFF button.

    3. Replace the  handset or press the ON/OFF button.
