If the image field on the Camera Portal page does not appear Make sure the indicators light green. The proxy server setting of your web browser may be needed to access the Camera Portal page ( Page 126). Make sure the modem is turned on first, next the KX-HGW600, then the PC.

Operating Instructions 54 3.1 Recording/Playback Recording/Playback functionallows you to record and play back the selected Network Camera screen using an SD memory card (customer provided). The Recording/Playback function is designed for a single user. For the operation by multiple users, this function may not work properly. 3.1.1 Preparing for recording 1.Pushing the cover, open the SD memory card slot. 2.Insert the SD memory card into the SD memory card slot and close the cover. Note When you remove the SD memory card, stop recording or playing back. Ta b Insert the SD memory card until you hear a click. To remove, push it gently.Press it until you hear a click.Align a tab with a groove.

For more information about the access to the Camera Portal page, please refer to Page 36, Page 50 and Page 78. 4.Click[Recording/Playback]. The authentication window appears. 5.Enter KX-HGW (default setting) in thePassworddata field. Leave theUser Namedata field blank (default setting). Note You can change the user name and password on the Setup Page. Please refer to Change Password on Page 110. 6.Click[OK]. The Recording window appears ( Page 56). Note Please refer to Page 65 to format the SD memory card.

Notes The Recording/Playback function is designed for a single user. For the operation by multiple users, this function may not work properly. Note If the ID and password are set on the Security: Administrator window of Network Camera, you have to enter the same ID (user name) and password on the Camera Setup window of the KX-HGW600 ( Page 73). 1.Click[Recording]on the Recording/Playback page. 2.Click[REC]on the Recording window. The recording starts. To stop recording, click[Stop].
Operating Instructions 58 3.1.4 Recording Setup Recording Setup windowallows you to set the Image Resolution, Image Quality and Frame rate of the recorded image. 1.Click[Recording Setup]on the Recording/Playback page. 2.SelectImage Resolution,Image QualityandFrame ratefrom each drop-down menu. 3.Whenyouhavefinished,click[Save]. The settings will be saved and a Success message appears on the display. Instructions for the data fields * Frame rate changes with the condition of a network.Image ResolutionSelect 640 x 480, 320 x 240 or 160 x 120. Image QualitySelect Favor clarity, Standard or Favor motion. Favor clarity: Optimized for good clarity Standard: Standard performance Favor motion: Optimized for motion display Frame rate*Select Motion Image or Still Images (60 frames per minute [1 frame per second] to 1 frame per hour). Notes When you change the timer recording settings, disable the previous settings and save. Then set the new timer settings. Timer Recording settings are available only for a single Network Camera. The date and time of recorded images synchronize the Network Camera internal clock. Confirm the date and time settings of the Network Camera. 1.Click[Timer Rec Setup]on the Recording/Playback page.
Operating Instructions 60 2.SelectCamera Namefrom the drop-down menu. For confirmation, the image appears. The image resolution differs from the settings on the Recording Setup window. 3.SelectEnableorDisable. Note The KX-HGW600 has two timer settings. 4.Check the desired day of the week. If the setting time passes over midnight, please check the day of start time. The start and end time is set only in 24h time mode. 5.Set the start and end time. 6.Whenyouhavefinished,click[Save]. The settings will be saved and a Success message appears on the display. When the Network Camera is reserved for the timer recording, the[REC]button is changed to[Reserved].The[REC]buttons of the other Network Cameras are displayed as[Timer]. Note Do not overlap the timer settings betweenTimer 1andTimer 2. Overlapped timer settings cause you to stop recording.
