Preparing the Answering System 24 Caller’s Recording Time You can select “1 minute”, “2 minutes”, “3 minutes” or “Greeting only” for the caller’s recording time. Your phone comes from the factory set to “3 minutes”. If you select “Greeting only”, the unit will answer a call with the greeting message, and then hang up. The included handset is pre-registered at the factory and assigned the extension number 1. You do not need to register this handset which has “[1]” on the display.
