    1	Press the [CAM1], [CAM2], [CAM3] or [CAM4] 
    button to select the\> unit which is to be 
    operated.
    2	Press the [MENU] b\>utton for 2 seconds.
    The Top Menu is displayed.
    3	Press the [] or [] button to bring the\> cursor 
    to the item to be s\>elected.
    Each time the [] or [] button is pressed, \Rthe cursor 
    moves.
    The cursor can be mo\Rved in the same way using the 
    [] and [] buttons.
    4	Press the [] button.
    The sub‑menu of the selected i\Rtem is displayed.
    (Some sub‑menu items have a sub‑menu of their own.)
    5	Press the [] or [] button to bring the\> cursor 
    to the item to be s\>et.
    Each time the [] or [] button is pressed, \Rthe cursor 
    moves.
    The cursor can be mo\Rved in the same way using the 
    [] and [] buttons.
    With the cursor at \Rthe “Return” position, press t\Rhe [] 
    button to return to the previous menu.

    setting.

    wqProcedure for camera menu operation (AW‑RP655)
    1	Press one of the [\>1] to [5] buttons of 
    [CONTROL/PREVIEW MONITOR OUT SEL] to 
    select the unit whi\>ch is to be operate\>d.
    2	Press the [MENU] b\>utton to set the L\>CD panel 
    display to the menu mode.
    3	Turn the jog dial (ma\>in) until CAMERA 
    SETTING appears, and press the [OK\>] button.

    LCD panel, press the [OK] button again.

    6	Turn the jog dial (ma\>in) to select menu items of 
    the AW‑\fE50 and change the data.
    Turn the jog dial (ma\Rin) when the cursor\R is to be moved 
    up or down or the settings\R are to be changed.\R
    Press it when moving to the menu at the next lower 
    hierarchical level or changing a se\Rtting at the very 
    bottom hierarchical level.
    7	Press the [MENU] b\>utton for 2 seconds to exit 
    the camera menu.

    When the unit’s settings are to \Rbe selected, the me\Rnus are 
    displayed on the monitor.
    The monitor is conn\Rected to the video \Rsignal output 
    connector.
    The basic menu operations involve displaying sub‑menus 
    from the Top Menu items, and selecting set\Rtings on the 
    sub‑menus.
    Some sub‑menus have menu items for performing more 
    detailed settings.
    For details on the \Rbasic operations to display the menus 
    and change the item\Rs using the wirele\Rss remote control o\Rr 
    controller (AW‑RP\f55, AW‑RP555 or AW‑RP50), refer to 
    pages
     30 to 37.
    The “
    ” and “” marks in the menu titles indicate t\Rhe 
    hierarchical level of the menu currently displayed.
    For instance, “
    ” indicates the firs\Rt 
    hierarchical level whereas “

    level is now displayed.

    Select for camera shutter speed.
    This item can be se\Rt when “Manual” has been selected \Ras 
    the “Contrast Mode” setting.
    Off:
       The shutter is set\R to OFF (so that i\Rt cannot be 
    tripped).
    Step:
       The step shutter i\Rs set (the steps ca\Rn be 
    changed).
    Synchro:
       The synchro shutter\R is set (the setti\Rng can be 
    changed continuously).
    Step/Synchro
    This is used to ad\Rjust the shutter s\Rpeed in the mode 
    which was selected as the \R“Shutter Mode” setting. 
    When a higher shut\Rter speed is select\Red, fast

    amount can be set.
    If frame addition is pe\Rrformed at the Auto setting, it wi\Rll 
    appear as if the i\Rmages are missing \Rsome frames.
    Gain [Auto, 0d\b, 3d\b, 6d\b, 9d\b, 12d\b, 15d\b, 18d\b]
    The image gain is \Radjusted here.
    In locations which a\Rre too dark, adjust the gain\R upward; 
    conversely, in locations which\R are too bright, adjust it 
    downward.
    When “Auto” is set, the light\R quantity is adjus\Rted 
    automatically.
    The noise increases\R when the gain is \Rincreased.
    AGC Max Gain [6d\b, 12d\b, 18d\b]
    When “Auto” is selected as the\R “Gain” setting, the 
    maximum gain
    ‑up amount can be se\Rt.
