    1	Press the [1], [2], [3], [4] or [5] button of 
    [CONTROL/PREVIEW MONITOR OUT SEL].
    2	Press the [MENU] b\>utton.
    The display on the LCD panel\R of the AW‑RP\f55 
    switches to the menu mode.
    3	Turn the jog dial (ma\>in).
    Display “CAMERA SETTING” on the LCD panel.\R
    4	Press the [OK] button.
    Display “OPEN CAMERA MENU? \R OK Key” on the
    LCD panel.
    5	Press the [OK] button again.
    The Top Menu is displayed on the monitor.

    If the trouble is not resolved by taking the action\R suggested 
    below, refer to “Troubleshooting” (page
     3\f in the ).\R
    When performing the operatio\>ns  
    using the wireless \>remote control
    The unit does not \>move.
    wp Press the [CAM1], \R[CAM\b], [CAM3] or [\RCAM4] button to 
    select the unit whi\Rch is to be operated.
     
    If only one unit i\Rs being used, it i\Rs normally selected usin\Rg 
    the [CAM1] button.

    s status display lamp is off or lights up orange, it 
    means that the uni\Rt’s power is not on.

    The lens focus can be adjusted\R manually.
    When performing the operatio\>ns  
    using the wireless \>remote control
    1	Press the [M/FOCUS]\> button to switch the 
    focus to manual adjustment.
    2	Press the [F] or [\>N] button of [FOCUS], and 
    adjust the focus.
    When the [F] button is pressed, \Rthe focus moves further 
    away (far); conversely, when the [N] button is pressed, \Rit 
    moves nearer (near).
    The speed of focusing and other a\Rdjustments can 
    be switched to fast or slow by pressing the [FAST] or 
    [SLOW] button, respectively.
    3	If necessary, press the [A/FOCUS\>] button to 
    return the focus to the automat\>ic adjustment.

    When the AW‑RP655 is connecte\>d:
    1	Press the [EXT(AF)\>] button to switch the focus 
    to manual adjustment.
    2	Adjust the focus manually by turning the dial \>
    above the lighted [FOCU\>S] lamp whether it 
    is the lamp of the [\>PAN/TILT] lever or [ZOOM] 
    lever.
    Furthermore, every time the [SPEED]\R button is pressed, \R
    the speed of the f\Rocusing and other a\Rdjustments can be 
    switched to fast or slow.
    3	If necessary, press the [EXT(AF\>)] button to 
    return the focus to the automat\>ic adjustment.
    When the AW‑RP555 is connecte\>d:
    1	Press the [EXT(AF)\>] button to switch the focus 
    to manual adjustment.
    2	Adjust the focus manually by tilting the 
    [FOCUS] lever.
    Furthermore, every time the [SPEED]\R button is pressed, \R
    the speed of the f\Rocusing and other a\Rdjustments can be 
    switched to fast or slow.
    3	If necessary, press the [EXT(AF\>)] button to 
    return the focus to the automat\>ic adjustment.
    When the AW‑RP50 is connected\>:
    Refer to the Operating Instructions of the contr\Roller.
    wp When the focus is set to manual, the subject ma\R

    go out of focus during panning, tilti\Rng or zooming. 
    Therefore, the unit comes wi\Rth a function which \R
    compensates for this. (Focus compensation du\Rring 
    zooming function: Focus ADJ With PTZ.) 
    This function was set to ON at th\Re factory. 
    If the function has\R been set to OFF, either adjust th\Re 
    focus, as required, aft\Rer zooming or set the \Rfocus to 
    auto. (See page
     4\f and page \f5.)

    lamp of the [PAN/TILT] lever or [ZOOM] lever.
    3	If necessary, press the [IRIS] \>button several 
    times and turn on i\>ts lamp to return th\>e iris to 
    the automatic adjus\>tment.
    When the AW‑RP555 is connecte\>d:
    1	Press the [IRIS] b\>utton to turn off \>its lamp and 
    switch to manual adjustment.
    2	Turn the [LEVEL] di\>al of [IRIS] to adj\>ust the iris 
    manually.
    The position of th\Re [LEVEL] dial doe\Rs not represent an\R 
    absolute value. This is why the brightness may differ 
    from one camera to another even when the dial i\Rs set to 
    the same position.\R
    3	If necessary, press the [IRIS] \>button to turn on 
    its lamp and switch to automatic adju\>stment 
    in order to return the \>iris to automatic 
    adjustment.
    When the AW‑RP50 is connected\>:
    Refer to the Operating Instructions of the contr\Roller.

    wwManually adjusting the sh\>utter speed
    The shutter speed \Rcan be set using tw\Ro methods. One is 
    a method that speci\Rfies the time (whe\Rre a time such as 
    1/\b50 sec. is designated), a\Rnd the other is a \Rmethod that 
    specifies the frequ\Rency (where synchro \Rscan, \f0.\b4
     Hz, etc. 
    is designated).
    When shooting a 
    
    TV screen or PC mon\Ritor screen, the 
    horizontal noise generated when the scree\Rn is shot can 
    be minimized by adjusting the fr\Requency to the scree\Rn 
    frequency using syn\Rchro scan.
    When performing the operatio\>ns  
    using the wireless \>remote control
    Perform the adjustments \Ron the Camera menu.

    When performing the operatio\>ns using the contr\>oller
    The procedure is th\Re same as for “When performing the 
    operations using the w\Rireless remote cont\Rrol” in “Basic 
    operations” (pages
     30 to 37).
    When the AW‑RP555 is connecte\>d:
    1	Press the [S\fUTTER]\> button and turn its\> lamp 
    on.
    The shutter speed \Rset ahead of time \Ris selected.
    2	If necessary, press the [S\fUTTER\>] button and 
    turn its lamp off in\> order to return the \>shutter 
    to the OFF setting\>.
    wq \fow to set the shutt\>er speed using the\> AW‑RP555
    1	With the [MEMORY] button still held down, 
    press the [S\fUTTER]\> button.
    The [PRESET] [1] to\R [5] and [\f] to [10\R] buttons blink 
    alternately.
    2	Press one of the [\>1] to [8] buttons or the 
    [10] [PRESET] button — whichever button 
    corresponds to the\> shutter speed whi\>ch is to 
    be set.
    Any of the shutter s\Rpeeds in the table below can be set.

    There are two ways to adjust the g\Rain. One way involves 
    using the buttons on the wire\Rless remote control\R or 
    controller; the other way involves using the Camer\Ra menu or 
    Web setting.
    The gain can be adj\Rusted more precisel\Ry using the Camera 
    menu or Web setting.
    For further details, refer to the [Gain] i\Rtem on page
     40 and

     59.
    wp When adjusting the\R gain, the light q\Ruantity may 
    change suddenly (cau\Rsing the image out\Rput to be 
    subjected to a shock).

    1	Press the [OFF], [LOW] or [\fI] button.
    These buttons enable the gain increas\Re to be selected 
    in three steps.
    [LOW] is used to sele\Rct 9
     dB; [HI] is used to s\Relect

    2	If necessary, press the [AUTO] button in order 
    to return the gain\> to the automatic a\>djustment 
    (AGC).

    and then switch to manual adjustment.
    The preset gain in\Rcrease amount is no\Rw selected.

    2	If necessary, press the [GAIN] \>button and turn 
    on the button in order to return the \>gain to the 
    automatic adjustmen\>t (AGC).

    1	Press the [GAIN] b\>utton to turn off \>its lamp.
    Each time this button is pressed, \Rone of the three g\Rain 
    increase amounts can\R be selected in seq\Ruence.

    Preset memories
    This unit enables up to 100 settings for the camera direction 
    (panning and tilti\Rng), zoom, focus , iris, gain and white 
    balance to be regis\Rtered in its prese\Rt memories, and called.
    However, the number of settings \Rthat can be registe\Rred and 
    called depends on t\Rhe type of wireles\Rs remote control or\R 
    controller that is \Rused for operation.
    wp The operating mode (manual or auto settin\Rg) is not 
    registered f
    
    or the focus and iris settings. 
    The current focus and iris values are register\Red.

    PRESET MEMORY] in which setting\Rs can be registered\R 
    now start blinking in sequence\R.
