    TIME SLOT ALLOCATION
    Time Slot Allocation for T1
    One time slot out of the last 24 time slots provided by DAIA-DAIB connection is used for the con-
    trol signaling channel. Figure 1-4 shows the examples of time slot allocation when mounting 8-
    port cards to the PIM.

    Time Slot Allocation for E1
    One time slot out of the last 32 time slots provided by DAID-DAIE connection is used for the con-
    trol signaling channel. Figure 1-5 shows examples of time slot allocation when mounting 8-port
    cards to the PIM.

    This chapter explains how to install the Remote PIM hardware. This
    chapter describes only the installation procedures required for the Re-
    mote PIM System. Refer to the Installation Procedure Manual for
